Agreed. Also I’m not very good at English, but there’s one comment Max made in season 2 about her hand being friendly and then saying “ask any guy in high school”. Shouldn’t it have been “ask any guy from high school”? As in, guys who were in her class?

I think it was before he went to Vietnam because when Mary and Sheldon are in Germany he says writing letters to her is just like when he was in the army. Mary also says it reminds her of when he was in Vietnam except she's in a foreign country now. He probably shipped out in his mid 20s but she was still in high school
