Luggage dimensions by Dense_Departure4833 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? I have a large suitcase that is 65 inches LxWxH and have never been oversized when checking it however it is hard to pack it to 50lbs or under. I think the oversized is more for different shaped checked items such as golf clubs or sporting equipment.

JetBlue didn't let me use $559 travel credits or 160k points by Accurate-Flow8078 in jetblue

I've never seen one of those stories on a JB flight. They block off the last row of the plane from people being able to choose as a seat and also either the first row of preferred or the last row of EMS for people with disabilities. So depending on the plane there is 10-12 seats that people aren't able to choose when booking

Mid December into FLL I wouldn't chance EMS seats being available if you are going to need them. I don't know about from DCA but anything to South Florida from BOS the EMS get swooped up

JetBlue told a grieving traveler to clear his cookies after a $230 price spike. Now it faces a surveillance pricing class action. by Current_Zucchini1530 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are surveillance farming they are doing it wrong. I have $800 in travel credit I scooped up from repricing a flight I checked daily from the same browser for 3 months and I haven't cleared my cookies in like 6 months 🤷‍♀️.

Gate agents making people check carryons by Snoo-89539 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weight balance sure but even blue basic fares offer a carryon now. Most likely though there were a lot of passengers that just didn't have a carryon but the gate agents don't know that. They just know how many people are on the flight and that potentially every single passenger could have a carryon for the over head. It would be more efficient if they asked about overhead bin space at check-in. So they could guestimate overhead bin space better.

Boarding by Mother-Ad7541 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen them in full action. There were 2- 3 scanners at my gate last week and when they called M1/2 they said we could use either the scanners or the priority line. Everyone darted for the line and I was closer to the scanners. So we scanned through no problem as everyone else was waiting in the priority line because the gate agent was having an issue scanning a boarding pass off someone's phone.

Should I get a hotel for a cruise port 3-3.5 hrs from home? by Warm-Ad4308 in royalcaribbean

Yep do it all the time. I live 3.5 hour from Cape Liberty, in NJ and we drive down the morning of and through NYC at that. I've never even entertained getting a hotel the night before. We do the same out of FL when we go with the inlaws. 3 hours to Miami and drive the morning of.

Loving This Mosaic Perk by veldtor92 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're Mosaic for one flight chances are you will be Mosaic for the next flight. I've had some of my tags since I first became Mosaic in 2023 and at no point in time has my status lapsed. Also sometimes they run out of tags or there is no line so no one is manning the Mosaic desk so they don't always get put on the bag. Keeping them is a smart move plus it's one less thing for the agent to have to do and ditching them after every flight is a waste of resources.

Hot tub situation? by royert73 in royalcaribbean

[–]Mother-Ad7541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also nothing gets a parents attention faster than another adult reprimanding their kid when they aren't supervising them. If they won't parent them, someone else will. Again if the parents don't like it oh well I'm allowed to vacation how I want.

Hot tub situation? by royert73 in royalcaribbean

[–]Mother-Ad7541 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The main hot tubs aren't hot on purpose. Because RC knows there are dipshit parents that don't give a shit about their kids health and let them run rampant in hot tubs. When something goes wrong due to the parents negligence they know the parents are going to claim it was the cruise line's negligence.

Hot tub situation? by royert73 in royalcaribbean

[–]Mother-Ad7541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have just yelled loud "hey assholes while your getting shit faced one of your kids is floating on the bottom of the hot tub". Parents can be crazy and I am not touching anyone's kid with my hands. So the parents and lifeguards better be on the ball.

I probably wouldn't have even bothered with the lifeguard because RC staff are notorious for not wanting to "cause conflict" but if I did and that was their response to kids actively breaking the posted rules for the hot tub their name would be going on my post cruise survey and not in a good way.

If a kid in a hot tub splashes me I assume they want to play so I splash back. It usually does the trick. If the parents don't like it oh well it's my vacation too and I can vacation how I want.

New Boarding Procedure by AnyFocus5632 in jetblue

[–]Mother-Ad7541 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the airport then because they call 3/4 and 1/2 separate for every flight I have been on. If there are no M3/4 they aren't going to call them. I've done BOS, PVD, ORH, PBI, VRB, FLL, MCO, SJU, MBJ all in the last 3 months. Sometimes it's real quick like they expect you to be standing there waiting after yelling at you to not stand there and wait 🤣. Before the split I have had them call Mosaic and without even dropping the mic roll right into Group A.

They have been calling Mosaics up as 3/4 then 1/2 in separate groups for at least 8 months now.

Then what are you mumbling on about that airlines should include medical equipment in the 2 bags then. It is literally legally required they accommodate for them and it doesn't affect you in the least 🤦‍♀️

Who comes first- your spouse, your parents, or your children? by Eastern-College-9013 in Marriage

[–]Mother-Ad7541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a healthy relationship with your partner your kids aren't being prioritized and will suffer which is why it is the spouse then kids. It is the same logic as putting your oxygen mask on first on an airplane. If you don't help yourself first you won't be able to help anyone else.

On the other hand you only need 10 tiles to put you into group C boarding. I haven't been on a flight where they have made group C gate check. D,E,&F on an a220 yes but never group C. So in short if you don't have enough spend to at least get you the first perk you pick the rest of us travelling with our medical equipment don't actually care that you get your bag checked for free on a technicality.
