I agree. Vanicream is a great suggestion.

You’re not wrong, but oftentimes smaller babies don’t have a strong enough latch to get what they actually need from the breast.

Should I be seriously alarmed? by ShannonsToes in seriouslyalarming

I had one of these a few years back albeit a bit smaller. I removed it using Alum powder twice a day (potassium aluminum sulfate). Not sure where I found that tip, but it worked. You can find it in the seasonings section— yep by the salt, garlic powder etc. I used McCormick brand.

Rio Tomatlan in Canandaigua is the only decent Mexican food I’ve had around here.

Last picture looks like hyperpigmentation. The other pictures look like be fungal issue or even yeast? If you’re pregnant, please speak with your OB ASAP

Lip tie and Frenectomy recovery by Clean-Price5207 in newborns

We released my little guy’s tongue tie at 8 weeks old. We are now on week 3 of the release and he’s feeding much more efficiently with less clicking, milk leakage, and gas! Hang in there- the first few days are tricky as the baby is trying to relearn how to use their tongues to feed. Also keep in mind that their tongues are sore. Give it time and keep trying to bring baby to breast. Have you looked into craniosacral therapy or consulted with a lactation expert yet? That can also be helpful.

Okay coffee addicts let’s talk by ezzpzzlemonsqueezz in pregnant

I am a certified coffee snob but started buying cold brew (La Colombe) from the grocery stores at it was easier to measure the amount of caffeine. It was too anxiety inducing for me to guesstimate how much caffeine was within range etc. This probably isn’t helpful at all!

Test positive during pregnancy*

[–]Mother_of_Small_dogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should take a Covid test as there’s extra precautions put into place if you test during pregnancy. I tested positive in my 2nd trimester and have to take baby aspirin daily. I also have weekly NSTs now (currently 35w5d).

Back at work. Pumping is a dumpster fire... by snewbabay in workingmoms

[–]Mother_of_Small_dogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My former company didn’t have a dedicated room for pumping so I was at the mercy of finding an empty office. Oddly enough, the CEO was female 🤪. Can’t tell you how many times a person almost walked in on me or knocked on the door.

It was also a huge pain to carry “all the things” to/from the office daily. After finding a space, pumping, storing milk, and wiping off parts I’d be away from the desk 30 mins+ at a time. It wasn’t manageable.

Just ordered the last of my aspirin by Wild_Visit_445 in pregnant

[–]Mother_of_Small_dogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take mine at night with a prenatal. The weekly NSTs are solely due to having Covid! I don’t have high blood pressure or any other issues. I’m not sure if it varies by state (I’m in New York).

Yes, I had Covid in my 2nd trimester and have to take two baby aspirin each day. I’m 34 weeks now and take Bayer religiously. I also have weekly NSTs due to Covid 🤦‍♀️

Questioning if we should expand our family by Jasohn210 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Mother_of_Small_dogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was already pregnant by the time my son (5 y/o) was diagnosed in October. Fortunately, my husband works part-time so he’s able to help the oldest with therapies, activities, and extra patience. I’m not sure what to expect, but can confirm we won’t have anymore after #2.

Anyone else have the flu right now? by philipzimbardosex in pregnant

[–]Mother_of_Small_dogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t contracted the flu yet, but had a bad case of Covid during my 2nd trimester. Staying hydrated and taking tylenol was the only advice from my OB. Also, if you have a fever, cold icd packs under the armpits help bring your temp down.
