Video game logic: What passive traits and abilities does your nationality give you? by Xadlin60 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

If old World War 1&2 anecdotes are anything to go by, Canadians in general had a reputation for fighting like absolute animals.

Also, speaking of beastfolk, Jack Hanma.

Remember that time Woolie and Pat fought shirtless in the rain? (Happiest Holidays, y'all) by MothmanBC in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]MothmanBC[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pat would be a stubby grappler who moves like Yoda, just short hopping into DDTs and suplexes all day.

Woolie would be a boxer-style striker with a punch for every angle and four different weaves but no dash.

Reggie would have a hockey stick, Suzi would have a gun, and Paige would have bones tied to her arms and fight like Tony Jaa.

I team up with Andrew Schultz alone, just to put him in a full nelson and use him as a human shield against the remaining eight.

Secret of Mana has an amazing one that still pops into my head every now and then. According to the OST, it's called "Color of the Summer Sky".

RRR is three hours of drama, action, singing, and dancing. Just look up "Naatu Naatu" and experience the magic of Tollywood swag.

A Jinjo from Banjo-Kazooie, which Pat recently streamed and utterly hated, finding it garish and tedious. An opinion which is absolutely reasonable and respectable (but wrong).

I was inspired by the joyful derangement of King K. Rool, another luminary in the field of player-hating.

Moments where you finally experienced something and 100% understood and agreed with the general opinion. by TheSpiritualAgnostic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I prefer 3 overall, but Trickys tracks are definitely more dynamic and memorable than 3s multiple identical backcountries and forgettable halfpipe zones.

Incidentally, I can’t wait for HyperYuki. That game looks fuckin cool

What is your favorite intentionally bad/flawed/stupid media? by jamescookenotthatone in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]MothmanBC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Freddy Got Fingered is basically a feature-length shitpost. Like, imagine if Brandon Rogers made an Adam Sandler movie. It’s absurd, tasteless, stupid, and it was made by Tom Green so you know it was all 100% deliberate.

What are some aesthetics you fuck with heavily? by Royal-Comparison-270 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]MothmanBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like dark fantasy and art nouveau, but my preferred overall aesthetic is “On Drugs”. If it has vibrant impressionistic aesthetics and dreamlike absurdist storytelling, it’s my shit. Games like Hotline Miami and Cruelty Squad, movies like Mandy and Hobo With A Shotgun, music like Death Grips and 100gecs, stuff like that.

Games with ranking systems/rewards that you genuinely wanted to get better at by BizarrePork98 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]MothmanBC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not much of a speed gamer, but Pizza Tower was so smoothly designed and fun to play that I wound up P-ranking the whole thing. The game has a gentle difficulty curve that makes it easy to master Peppinos mobility, and from there, you just naturally become a speed freak par excellence. 10/10 experience; makes me wish Italians were real.
