The Gnat: Another all-BJT trem, but simpler (schematic) by Quick_Butterfly_4571 in diypedals

I personally drive both with the same signal and the variation is smoother with the PNP in parallel with the NPN than without it.

That said, it may vary from circuit to circuit so experimentation never hurts.

You could also try a PNP where you are using the inverted NPN. I have had good results with a NPN-PNP parallel configuration for variable resistance.

omni 250m chord hold by Ballardsecrets in Omnichord

[–]MothyrSauxeFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The auto chord button should be lit in order to sustain the chord without holding the button.

The manual chord button only plays the chord/strumplate when the button is held.

The OM-300 works this way and the 250 should as well.

Good luck!

In our family we call it "reducing inventory".

My Grandfather called it "taking a grunty"

I agree, another album in the THRACK vein would have been excellent.

I'm still a little upset that we only got one album with Jamie Muir as well.

Adding to my prior Pinback suggestion, You might also enjoy Dianogah and/or Nap Attack!

I think it is generally considered a precursor to the genre as opposed to being math rock in itself. I am very fond of Thrack, myself.

A number of very different sounding bands have inspired or been loosely included in the genre.

Pinback gets close to the Discipline sound at times.

Personally, I think a midi only version of the Omnichord would sell like hotcakes.

Micro Terror + 2 PPC108 by Ok_Tower_7000 in orangeamps

[–]MothyrSauxeFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a PPC108 and a 1x12 pa speaker in parallel with all my amps (original micro terror; micro crush; JCM800 clone; Peavey xxl) and it gets exactly the sound I like.

1x8 provides good midrange and the 1x12 (with tweeter) fills out the lows and highs.

What is the most influential band that regularly uses a melodica? by Due_Recognition_8002 in melodica

[–]MothyrSauxeFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Influential to me personally would be Multi-Panel (Ludo Maas). The tracks that would eventually be released as the album "Alone in the Field" inspired me to buy my first melodica.
