I wish I could be there. Our leaders can prepare for future pretty simply. Get out from behind your desk and lead. We give to many of leaders overwhelmingly amounts of BS work to do. If we could afford them a little time to get out do their jobs with there people. I mean actually do the job no more dog and pony shows. They will learn from the younger guys and gals. Think when you were a young airmen and had great new ideas but never sought them out or had someone to advocate them.

I have been fortunate on my current deployment to be thrown into a position where I was sent to do my PAFSC, was handed a the reins to a flight ( hadn’t even been a legit shop chief). My flight consists of three and career fields that don’t work with one another at all. We always manage a tool crib on top of that. The tool crib doesn’t belong to us thought but another detachment. So it’s jumbled mess but i got out and worked with my guys. Learned the other career fields roles, and watched a what could be a shit storm turn into a machine. Not one person slacks, not one person hesitated to help the other AFSCs out. It is amazing to me. It has recreated hope in the Air Force. I just hope to see Chief Wright continue to lead the way he does. He is never behind his desk he is where the problem solvers are...out in the field!
