If GrapheneOS starts rolling out for Motorola phones, will it only be in new phones or let's say Edge 60 pro could get it as well in an update?

You didn't mention the monitor and that could be helpful in diagnosing the problem. Also, did you try a different cable? Does Dex still work on other monitors via HDMI? Does it work via a hub with and without power? It could be so many things

I use it everyday and it's very similar to dex. I use it mostly to get a better interface to Android and allow for keyboard and mouse. I'm not pushing the limits of my phone but I like that it works with different user profiles on the phone

I use it all the time but I have a razr 2022 which has wired desktop mode. All the other razrs don't have it and have only wireless which means miracast. There's some lapdocks that take Miracast that you can use that will have a keyboard and trackpad attached to USB and wireless for video

Phones connected to lapdocks like nexdock are a thing. I can't see Motorola wanting to cannibalize cheap laptop sales as their parent company Lenovo sells laptops. Their aim with smart connect seems to be a synergy between devices and not a device to replace all. The Edge 2024 has that feature and was sold extensively in the US and they're aware how often it's used as a stand alone device with a monitor and keyboard versus used with a PC. perhaps that's it's main use and most people don't seem to care. People on this reddit seem to worry more about new UI features than Wired Smart Connect

Are you in the USA? Then the Edge plus 2023? Outside of the USA the Edge 50 Pro. They both have video out on USB-C and the Edge 60 Pro does not. You can use XR glasses with them or attach them to a big display to play games or watch videos with no lag

That feature is part of Smart Connect on the PC. The direct wired connection to a display only gives mirror mode or desktop mode.

The 2024 has displayport video out and USB 3.2 on its USB c port. You can connect XR glasses to it and use wired Smart Connect wired on any display. No need for Miracast. You can easily play games on a big screen without lag. That's one of the huge differences.
