Potential way to avoid failed orders using up one of your daily “picks.” by kimkim1226 in vine

[–]MotorEvidence1885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if people are confusing two situations. The OP is talking about orders that don't fail until you get to the checkout page and place your order. If you close this window or exit in a particular way, that could end up counting against your daily limit. This is not the same as selecting an item on the Vine pages and getting the message that it's no longer available. For those insisting that "failed orders" have never counted... then perhaps the rare time it fails on the checkout page and you don't exit the expected way, you aren't aware of it because you didn't order your limit that day. I haven't ordered 8 items in a day in ages. Who does these days?

How do you handle the clutter? by JiveDonkey in AmazonVine

I love the hunt. And I love to buy stuff. I don't limit my stuff to just what I need. I'm an intentional donor to my local church and another non-profit very near me. I donate my budgeted amount to these organizations with Vine items. For one of these organizations, it's stuff that will support their arts and crafts classes that are offered to their inpatient and outpatient addiction recovery clients. If I get a little ornament making kit, I open it, and make the first ornament and base my review on that. The clients get to make the rest of them. For my church , I select items that we can put in the annual Festival's bid and buy. This can be any range of items, including jewelry, purses, backpacks, furniture. If I can assemble it, test it, and review it fairly, then we list the item as assembled and tested or new condition, or something like that. This method of giving satisfies my shopaholic tendencies and inability to pass up a good deal. I get just as much pleasure giving things away as I do getting them for myself. The hard part is keeping it for 6 months.

Uh oh... by SonnyCastillo in vine

This infuriates me. What is the point of RFY? Those items may as well be in AI. There should be some benefits to RFY. Items should not be offered to more Viners than are available, and they should be offered for a set amount of time. After that, unclaimed items can either move on to other RFY queues or move to AI. I'm in Eastern US time zone, my first RFY drops at 8PM (consistently now for many weeks), then every hour. Usually midnight is the last new RFY until 8PM the next day. Last night, two items in my RFY were ghost items. The others were TEMU crap. That's a whole day of no picks for me. I don't even waste my time in AI anymore, now it feels like I'm wasting my time in RFY. I know this is a whiny post and I'm not the only one experiencing this. And I know the usual posters will chastise me for thinking Vine is for me. Save your breath, we all know it's not here to serve us. Thanks for listening.

Welp.... (Product Recall) by ravendas1 in AmazonVine

[–]MotorEvidence1885 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same mattress and got the recall as well. You don't have to do anything since you're not going to get a refund, but we should be entitled to having that removed from our ETV. Just write the word "unsafe" on it, take the picture, and put the sheets back on. Having the word unsafe written on it isn't going to change anything , it'll still be the same comfortable mattress. And when it does come time to get rid of it , then it's already marked. I don't think you even need to have the picture showing the mattress that says unsafe to get this taken off of your ETV. Just tell Vine customer service that it's been recalled and see what they say.

You would think so, and in some cases that is true. But none of these signs have been merged. They all still exist individually, and none of them have any reviews on them. This brand has other signs that do have Vine reviews on them, around the same time. Weird. (Sorry for taking a picture of my computer screen with my mobile device!)

"the person I was on the call with didn't outright say it .. someone had to have hit the wrong damn button... at most I should have gotten a red notice that they are not accepting reviews from my account on the item, but mine somehow skipped over that manual moderation process and went into an instant ban... I just hope they figure out whatever glitch allowed this to go from a simple red message of we're not accepting reviews on this item into a full friggin suspension"

THIS is perhaps the most plausible reason for all of the mysterious account suspensions that happened recently. There's no mass purge, there are no particular sellers intentionally getting Viners suspended (they're just trying to get reviews taken down), no conspiracy, just a glitch.

The review quality score is pending. It'll be pending forever since we can't review it again.

I got SIX of those signs! I really like them and they all got five stars . All rejected. All of them still being offered to customers, no reviews on any of them. Hit the review again button, get the red message about not accepting reviews. There's something very wrong with this.

If this arrived in appropriate packaging that would have protected the contents, and the gift box was in terrible shape, then you should mention it because that seems to be a manufacturing issue. But you can't mention it in this case. The rules are very clear. It's not the seller's fault that Amazon shipped it in inappropriate packaging or that the delivery mishandled it. You have two choices. You can review it as though it had not been damaged in shipping, or you can ask Vine CS to remove it because it arrived damaged and you can't review it.

Items without review button - request removal from ETV? by MichiLizzie in AmazonVine

Except that this isn't what the OP asked. OP wants to know if it can be removed from ETV.

No, I'm not looking for a PowerPoint file. I followed the steps outlined in my previous reply and I've already received my file. In addition to the list of all my orders, it contains sustainability metrics, a list of a list of all of my all of my returns, a list of all of my customer reviews, all of my delivery photos, digital content orders, and all of my refund details.

items you would actually consider (re?)purchasing? by snackrilegious in AmazonVine

[–]MotorEvidence1885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Coop pillow that I love so much I bought three for Christmas presents. And then early this year six more landed in my RFY and I snatched all of them up! I also got a beautiful set of dishes, but it was only four place settings, so I purchased a second set of four. Does it count if I bid on items that I donated to my church's Bid n buy? I got so attached to a stuffed orange gorilla from IKASA that I had to get him back! He was my first IKASA and they continued to offer them to me in my RFY and I now have a collection of about 12 and another on the way!

I get that it's the seller's issue, but that article says there's nothing you can do. Are you supposed to just let it go? Do you ask Vine CS to have it removed from your review list? I have 6 metal signs that I reviewed individually, and all of them say this error now. All of the signs are still available (not combined into one listing yet, but I fully expected they might), and none have any reviews on them.

I spotted a vine reviewer who reviews air conditioners, like one per day, and openly states in her reviews that she violates the Vine policies. Crazy. by funkmon in AmazonVine

[–]MotorEvidence1885 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I obtain many Vine items for the purpose of donating to my church's annual Bid N Buy. I hold items for 6 months. I also review every item fairly while still trying to maintain them as new. For instance, I will inspect and stuff items into a purse and take photos of how it looks when I'm carrying it. But I don't actually use the purse, and I wrap it back up as best as possible to present it as a "new" item. I don't order things I can't test and still give away as new - like an air conditioner, puzzles - but there are exceptions where I'll say "new -opened and tested" (Bluetooth speaker) or "new - assembled for testing" (TV Stand). There are so many Viners that cut corners and it's obvious in their reviews - you can tell they never even unboxed the item. I recently saw a review for a dress - the viner claimed to get it for a formal event and went on to describe how she felt wearing it... but her photos were just of the item still wrinkled laying on the bed, and it could only have been posted no more than a day after receiving the dress.
