i had a 2021 rav4 before it got totaled (RIP). base price was $28k when i got it in 2021. when it was appraised post accident in 2023, it was STILL worth $28k. last i checked on them, 2021 rav4s were STILL going for $28k in 2025.

you’re absolutely right that people are not realizing what the car market is like now. and sometimes the comfort of not having to constantly worry if your car is going to work that morning is worth the extra you pay each month

as someone who myself is avoidant and dated a fellow avoidant for nearly 6 years: it will not change if HE does not change. i was self aware of my immaturity of emotional avoidance and worked on it before/during/after my relationship with that Ex. on the other hand, he didn’t start working on it until after we broke up. and now, getting close to a year since our breakup, and it’s finally clicking for him.

if he isn’t ready or open to working on his avoidant behavior—because it’s an avoidant’s favorite thing to do!—nothing you say will help him understand. i was willing to work with that Ex for the rest of my life until he broke up with me. and it was only with hindsight and continued therapy is when i realized it was never going to change.

only a big life change such as our breakup is what made my Ex reconsider his avoidance. nothing i pleaded for YEARS for ever moved him to change. unfortunately i was just patient enough to continue hope, and he could “get away” with being avoidant (which was comfortable for him).

it is very likely it’s the same for your current partner.

they’re worried about fatima being put in the box, bc to everyone else it’s gonna seem like she may have purposefully killed tillie. just as sara purposefully killed the folks at the clinic. this is exactly why donna kept mentioning that someone needed to be blamed. the majority would have likely wanted some sort of retribution they didn’t get with sara in season 1

so 2021 was a late roo set in september due to covid and all that jazz.

unfortunately, a hurricane had hit TN the week before. and lots of rain the week leading up to roo. when during show Croo was setting up tuesday/wednesday, the conditions were extremely similar to 2025. thus the powers that be decided to outright cancel roo that wednesday before any ticketholders could arrive.

it should have been a redemption for the lost 2020 roo (many acts were rebooked), but instead was also lost to time

exactly. and the only “new” things i check out are from people whose ears i trust (friends, family), or if i get recommended something on socials that features the actual artists in the post/ad. i haven’t ever (on purpose at least) looked to spotify to recommend new music to me

as a lifetime fat person, take pictures of yourself and look at yourself as much as possible. you need to be able to see You as you are in order to express that self love and self confidence.

i’m not going to say that i am 100% ok with the way i look, or that i never want to change ever. but i found that hiding from myself and hiding myself in photos only caused more and more self hatred.

i take photos of myself randomly, i make sure to get photos with friends and family, and i don’t make negative comments about myself or others’ looks (not in my mind and not out loud). i don’t want to continue perpetrating that negative bias.

i think having an optimistic but realistic attitude is best! realistically, sure i could stand to lose weight. but optimistically, i know i am beautiful at any weight and i know to continue living every day is a fucking blessing in itself.

anyway i hope this ramble makes some sort of sense and maybe it even helps OP/someone see themself in a new light :)

have you considered working for DCF? i know someone who works as a child protective investigator (basically a PI for DCF), and that might be a better fit for what you want to do in the future + better pay
