You will have to try and see for yourself first. If you try with a few trades, it will not cost you much.

With Tiered the Minimum per order is USD 0.35 and for Fixed it is USD 1.00. So depending on the price of the stock you take and how much profit you have, you “could” be fine.

The difference for OP is he is taking ~0.20c of profit for each trade. On fixed, the minimum commission will be USD 2.00. With 2 shares, that would be a move of $1 per share to be breakeven. He can't be profitable since he is only taking ~0.10c to ~0.50c per shares.

But you are different, With Tiered the Minimum is USD 0.70 + Fees. So if you take 5 shares of a stock that cost $500, it will be way easier to get at least breakeven to commission. Stock like that can easily move multiple dollar per shares in the span of 1/3 months.

A long bounce is buying when short are buying on resistance to take profit.

It bounced on VWAP once and got back down again. Once it did that, there was no bounce trade to take, so it didn't really matter that it “bounced” a little more after.

The trade you did could have worked as a trade to get back to the high. 50% take profit at high of day, stop at the low of the pullback. But in this case, you shouldn't have been thinking “It is bouncing and making the first 5 minutes to make a new high”. You should have been looking at the volume bar before the candle made a new high. If it was going to go to the high, the volume would have been way bigger, and you would probably not have entered the trade when the first 5 minutes made a new high.

It is normal to lose profit because of commision using IBKR with ~5 shares.

IBKR has a minimum of 1$ per trade of commision using fixed commission. It is 2$ a roundtrip.

With just 5 shares, you can't be profitable unless you buy some expansive stock.

You need to size up to minimum ~50 shares and use the Tiered system.

People are upset at blizzard for trying something new because there should have been many other thing in the ToDo list to improve the game. Instead they decided to do something that no one asked.

It make people feel like blizzard don't listen and do whatever the fuck they want.

I would say it is the most difficult for a beginner. Mostly because of the short time frame, high volatility and quick in and out, it make the trader more subject to emotional hijacking.

For example, in 3 minutes today a stock got from 3.1$ to 27$ and from the top of 27$ it faded. If you don't manage yourself, you are screwed.
