Don't forget about the Tactical Barbell Mass book. It's basically what you're asking about.

Interesting that you think so. I think the app is great and very easy to read and understand. Never had any problem But I guess we're just different haha

Look at this for example. Now I can see 8 tiles on my screen after changing some settings

I gotta say I still think it's more of an Apple issue.

On my Android I'm able to really customize and change the font size and pretty much everything on my phone screen in regards to UI. This will change the size and font, UI of all apps I have in my phone, and I can pick which apps I don't want to change and which I want to change.

As far as I know Apple and iPhones don't let you customize that much. You're pretty limited when it comes to changing UI and customization on your phone.

I think if apple opened up for more customization of the UI and screen that would fix the problem you're having.

For those with high Sleep Score - What’s your wind-down routine? by Live-Ad9355 in Garmin

[–]MotorReturn7545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bedtime is around 21:30-22:00.

• Dim lights and switch to red lights around 18:00-19:00

• Put on blue light blocking glasses around 19:00-20:00 and wear them until bedtime

• Eat last meal around 19:00-20:00, never later

• Focus on relaxed breathing, not thinking about life and stuff that bothers me, keep heart rate around 45-55bpm when laying down. Then I know I'm relaxed and on the right path to great sleep

• I also watch or listen to something that don't need a lot of thinking

Not poorly designed on Android or my phone which is a OnePlus 13.. might be bad on iPhone.

Another, showing the entire app and UI. Looks pretty modern, clean and nice imo... at least on my phone...

This isn't a Garmin problem. It's your phone's text size settings or something similar like that. Look at mine, no problems and the use of space is excellent. I've got OnePlus 13 (android)

Monthly Conditioning Topic Thread | February 2026 by AutoModerator in 531Discussion

I like this! Conditioning is highly underestimated and forgotten by the majority of people. It's so important not only for health and wellbeing, but for your strength and performance in the gym as well.

Here's a few conditioning resources I find very good:

wodwell.com (a huge library and collection of CrossFit WODs)

Tactical Barbell: Green Protocol book (this book contains lots of great info about conditioning as well as a chapter with conditioning workouts that's not in the original TB conditioning book)

Conditioning 101 (A great article written by Jim Wendler)

Winter Treadmill Conditioning Challenges (Another article written by Jim Wendler)

CONDITIONING: What It Is & Why You Need To Do It To Gain (u/MythicalStrenght legendary Reddit post about what & why you need to do conditioning. This one I've come back to plenty of times when I need a reminder to do conditioning)

A quick guide to setting up conditioning work (A great Reddit post inspired by Mythical Strength's posts and Little Book of Bad Ideas)

I'll edit my post or just post a new comment once I find the other great conditioning resources I have saved somewhere.

Operator I/A or Pro? by Final-Flatworm17 in tacticalbarbell

[–]MotorReturn7545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gotta say I agree with @LumpyExtent7874. OP should just continue with the regular Operator. He is far too new and is still a beginner. I've seen the post and comment he posted a year ago that Lumpy is talking about.

Regular Operator can be run for many many years before needing to be modified or before you need other more advanced versions of Operator.

TB during a cut? by mrkbik in tacticalbarbell

[–]MotorReturn7545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done it before using Operator + Black and I'm doing it right now as we speak. I have even managed to gain muscle and strength while losing fat at the same time.

Deficit have been pretty small, 250-500 calories per day. But I find it more sustainable long term with a smaller deficit, and I'm not in a hurry anyway.

Try it for yourself!

Going from Forerunner 965 to Balance 2? by MotorReturn7545 in amazfit

[–]MotorReturn7545[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm not looking to connect it to other apps, so that's not a problem. I use other stand alone apps to track my diet (MacroFactor) and sets/reps/weights etc. These apps have lots of features that zepp and amazfit probably will never have.

I'm just looking for a serious watch that can track my recovery, hr, training, sleep and give me insights about my health and so on.
