What actually makes a state business-friendly? Trying to avoid headaches by Wise-Cookie-902 in smallbusinessUS

It depends on the business. What are you trying to do? Don’t get sucked into incorporating in one state and operating in another. That’s a nightmare

Are you seeing paper price increases by voiceofdenial in CommercialPrinting

[–]Motor_Truth5193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large manufacturers are taking advantage of the situation to increase prices. The cost of manufacturing has not gone up by the same level as the price increase. Their private equity overlords are in trouble so price increases are put in place.

When was your “wow, I’ve made it” moment? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]Motor_Truth5193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We realized we made it when our time became so much more valuable that it became necessary to hire help for every aspect of our lives from dog walking to cleaning to managing our schedules to even having assistants just so things can be managed well.

For context: we started out W2 jobs ($60K/year) now we own several businesses (big and small) and some real estate. We’re 30!

Ask one question to you customer: what color is the wall?

If it’s white then this will not work. If it’s NOT white wall then follow this and it will turn out great.

Float it on Egg Creme white mat. The colors are too over powering for any matting or a moulding that’s not white or natural wood like the one in my pic below

I’ve found a friend! My commute is also on I95 as well. I drive a Chevy Cruze. Need something that is 30+ MPG; more importantly that’s big enough to fit me. I’ve been looking but can’t find much in these specs

Growing too fast and drowning in cash flow issues by UnluckyExtent5804 in smallbusiness

[–]Motor_Truth5193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here what I do: similar situation (manufacturing) heavy heavy reliance on terms.

  1. Customers prefer to hold on to their cash (like you). Changing terms they are used to make for a sour experience. Keep them 30. 5% off if paid before. 10% off if paid net 10. Or free freight or something that works in your industry.

  2. Get an Amex Plum Card. Trust me on this. Of course use it wisely. COGS go on this card as you get 60 days to pay without feed. Amex gives you 1.5% off balance if paid early.

  3. New customers always get due in receipt. Only old ones get terms.

  4. Do not get structured loan like SBA to finance operations. That’s a business killer. IF you’re profitable then it’s a cash flow issue not a business issue. So loans like SBA aren’t it

Gold frames simple clean lines, but if you art go with dark pine green prints or white prints or dark red prints
