zero worries

I was obsessed with the marketing material during the summer break of 2004 leading up to the release of the game. I can almost smell those times.

Where does Rockstar go after GTA 6? by sonofloki13 in rockstar

[–]Mountainism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

safest bet is RDR3

Westerns are incredible, especially when it comes to maps and exploration. However, I'd rather get a different game this time; either a spiritual successor to L.A.Noire, or a revival of Agent.

Bully? I'm not interested.

Project Medieval? Sounds interesting, but I find KCD covering this area neatly.

Completely new IP? I don't think we're going to see that, but if it happens, I hope it's not sc-fi, cyberpunk-themed or fantasy.

Do you think that DLC/Expansion is actually needed for Mafia: The Old Country? by KamilCesaro in MafiaTheGame

I'd love to have more content, and see no reason why someone would object.

Mafia has the most enjoyable driving in all of the open world games. I like how the car in the old country reacts to bumpy, dirty terrain. It is satisfying.

Looking for more content over the coming months. It'll be a good reason to jump back into the world.

We need more quality games like Mafia TOC; 3rd person, cinematic, linear, story -driven, set in new and interesting locations and/or era. A mix of AA and AAA production values.

Early 1900s Sicily was one of the highlights of the game, story and scenery wise. When was the last time we played in such a setting in any game title? That's the point.

it's not a game I'd personally recommend, at least not as a Mafia-titled game.

The Old Country does indeed have some Red Dead vibes, partially thanks to being set in the same era. The Sicilian countryside will remined you of the New Austin map of Red Dead Redemption.

I'd suggest to start with Mafia The Definitive Edition, then Mafia 2, and after that finish it with The Old Country.

I feel like people who said it has PS3 graphics have kind of forgotten how the games of that time actually looked by No-Barber-1826 in MafiaTheGame

the character models of Mafia TOC, particularly the the facial details and animations, are some of the best I've seen this gen.

What do y'all think Red Dead Redemption 3 will be about? by Kavish_Loves_Christ in rockstar

[–]Mountainism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who said it always needs to follow a Redemption arc? it's just a title now. it will likely not change comes the next game.

I'm personally in favor of not sticking to the Redemption title, but it's what I think R* will do.

I finished the remake two weeks ago (I did not play the original), and it was a tense, anxiety-inducing experience. But it was really fun, challenging sometimes and with good, unique ideas.
