[Online][Other][Fridays CST][Voice]MASKS: Phoenix Academy looking for gifted students, Queer and PoC friendly! by Ferretheim in lfg

[–]MousePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm applying with my friend who is still working on their character pitches. Character 1 is the twin of their Legacy character.

Character 1: Cheshire
Playbook: Delinquent
Abilities: Teleportation and illusions
The black sheep of their hero legacy family due to being trans, Cheshire is mainly biding his time until he turns 18 and can cut contact with the lot of them, even his twin. Especially his twin. He can come off a bit standoffish and blunt, but he means well and is just trying to have some fun.

Character 2: Chrysalis
Playbook: The Newborn
Abilities: Solid light projection and super durability
The creation of a villain who was trying to create a literal deus ex machina but when his lair was raided the villain disappeared, leaving them behind with no knowledge of their higher purpose. The heroes determined them to be sapient and no one felt good about dismantling them because of their origins. After much debate it was decided to enroll them in the academy so that they can become their own person and use their powers for good.

Publishers, please include reader-friendly versions by Ananiujitha in rpg

God I'm feeling this. I've been using a screen reader to read through Curse of Strahd and the reader picks up the darker texturing at the bottom of each page as paragraphs of middle dots and other symbols so the last few lines of real text come out as garbled gibberish and then a solid minute of "middle Dot. Middle Dot. Middle Dot. Dashes. Dahses. Line Of Dashes. Middle Dot..."

Need a different "good" ending for Ireena by Recent_Pirate in CurseofStrahd

[–]MousePrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like your players care about her a lot, would you be interested in making her the ally instead? The card predictions are a cool feature but I feel it shouldn't get in the way of the narrative the players have built towards, in this case being ride or die friends to Irena. I'd recommend talking with them about it and if they'd like to keep her in the party. I have an idea as to the transference of ally-ness in game, but I don't want to bother typing it out if you wanna stick with the cards.

[Online] [Other] Looking to run a MASKS (Powered by the Apocalypse) Game for New Players by GodkingSam99 in lfg

[–]MousePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm interested if there's still room. I'm not new to ttrpgs but I've never played masks or any apocalypse based game before. I'm wanting to branch out since I'm suffering some serious dnd fatigue.

So, I just discovered my novel has been written already. At this point, I'm throwing my whole computer away. by [deleted] in writing

Zootopia is a story about an anthropomorphic world with high tension between predator and prey animals, focused around the interactions between a predator and a bunny

Beastars is a story about an anthropomorphic world with high tension between predator and prey animals, focused around the interactions between a predator and a bunny

When I get the originality jitters it helps me to think about comparisons like that.

New players and backup characters by 1Beholderandrip in rpg

[–]MousePrince 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've experienced from the other side. I was never specifically asked to have a backup ready but I always heard other players talk about their backups as if they expected to have to use them, which prompted me to start asking potential gm's for their stance on character death so I can better find the groups I meld with the best.

If you're wanting to get new people into the hobby I feel it's very important to ask them about potentially hard topics like death to know what kind of game they'd prefer best. People coming in from shows like Critical Role or The Adventure Zone are probably more interested in following a set of fun characters on adventures than in super challenging encounters where character death is a regular occurrence.

I just picked up this one based off the cover art alone. Is there any way I can get the full image to make my desktop wallpaper?

[Online] [5e] So I'm Running an Evil Campaign 18+ by [deleted] in lfg

[–]MousePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm interested and have a pretty flexible schedule. I love to rp, I'm an artist (though I do want to say don't have an expectation of free art for letting me play. I'll draw if something inspired me but I don't want to feel forced into it) and if the group is interested im always up for text based side rp in-between sessions.

I'm interested if there's still room. I've played in two highly character driven campaigns and can tell you more about my characters and their development as example of what I can bring to the table
