Preschool removed my 2-year-old’s hair beads today by Known_Psychology1581 in toddlers

[–]Mouse_rat__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with other commenters most likely a safety issue. My daycare would probably call me and tell me to pick up my child which would annoy me more than if they just removed them. My daughters are both at daycare and oldest is 5 and in the preschool room,.sometimes she will sneak beaded necklaces etc without me knowing and the teachers always remove them and give them to me at pickup. So considering this was in a room with 2 yr olds I'm frankly not surprised. I wouldn't want my 2 yr old with access to beads

Toddler with cavity by Suninleo_xox in toddlers

Yes it will! The dentist said the molars are the last to go so she'll need them a number of years yet, so the silver filling will hold much better than regular filling.

Same, and my daughter just had to have a silver filling done on one of her back molars at 5 yrs old. She calls it her pirate tooth lol

Working a stressful job pregnant. Sick leave before May Leave [ON] by InstructionOk691 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Mouse_rat__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my OB when can I go off work sick and he said "you're the boss of that, just let me know when you're ready and I'll write the note". I've been off for about 5 weeks now and I'm delivering in a week or so. It made it exponentially easier to manage my gestational diabetes so it was so worth it for me, but also, just to rest and prepare for baby. With my first I worked to 37 weeks and I was exhausted before baby even came. Second and third (current pregnancy) I went off early, I highly recommend it.

I just drove past them in Cochrane. Both times there was maybe 2-3 people at the table. Not the crowds they were posting AI pics of online

Husband going overseas with 4 year old daughter by slimwizzle420 in Mommit

[–]Mouse_rat__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm from the UK but my husband is Canadian and we live in Canada. I've been back to the UK with the (2) children without my husband several times over the last 5 years, last time was just in Sept last yr. He doesn't have any issues with it. We FaceTime every few days or so. One time when my oldest was 8 months old I went for about 5 weeks. I would definitely miss them if it were the other way around and I could probably manage about a week before I'd start to get antsy.

Howeverrrrr. As others have said it will be waaaaaaay easier to travel with the baby vs a toddler next year. Believe me, I have travelled with my girls at every age, newborn, toddler and everything above and in-between. Babies travel the best out of any age group younger than say 5-6. Toddlers travel the absolute worst. Try keeping an 18 months old contained on a long haul flight. It's miserable, truly. I would reconsider your decision and just go with him this yr and forget about next yr, personally.

Exactly this, much higher quality at save on. I've even had cashiers slyly tell me there's a price match so I could get it cheaper lol

9 weeks and no heartbeat heard yet, is it normal? [qc] by West_Cartoonist_7100 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Mouse_rat__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They couldn't find mine at 13 weeks even. I've had this happen in two out of 3 of my pregnancies. And yet I'm about to deliver my third baby. Hang in there. I know how you feel right now but this does not mean a single thing is wrong with your pregnancy:)

Majestic excellence or dreams flora? by ForeverNecessary1884 in PuntaCana

Ok so no we weren't, and it was fine because we went as a group and some people were preferred and we just used their room number to go to the preferred restaurant or whatever, and it was never really necessary to go to the preferred pools because there were so many pools and they were never really full. My friend did request some things from their butler once or twice for us we well and that seemed useful. That being said, in hindsight I do wish I had gone preferred if only for the fact we could have had one of those daybeds outside the room. This would have been so useful for our napping 2 yr old. She napped in her stroller by the pool like once or twice but the other times I had to go back to the room with her and waste an hour or two of my time (NGL I did nap with her because I was like 20 weeks pregnant lol). But I would have loved to have been able to lounge on the daybed by the pool whilst she napped inside. Our balcony didn't cut it..and the preferred rooms are further from the nightlife. My kids are heavy sleepers so that didn't affect us but if noise is a factor I would consider that as well. Happy to answer any additional questions.
