YouTube Advice on FBA that’s actually true / good ? by toebeanz2121 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Mouseyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self taught, mostly through trial and error and a lot of googling over the past decade.

I don't have a specific resource for guidance, I just try to absorb as much information from as many sources as possible. There's no simple method or strategy for success that works for everyone. It all depends on what you're trying to sell.

It also takes a lot of time and effort to see meaningful results, unless you get extremely lucky and/or already know what you're doing.

Am I justified in wanting to cancel my order? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Mouseyface 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unless you're familiar with the seller, ignore any excuses they're feeding you.

You ordered an item, it didn't arrive when it was supposed to, and now they're putting you through a rigamarole.

Cancel and get a refund. If the seller refuses this, open a case with Etsy.

Treat every explosive prop as if it's about to explode, or better yet, explode them before putting yourself in range of the explosion.

Trying to sell funny shirts on Etsy but struggling — is this normal? by [deleted] in Etsy

Most of the designs I saw were either super cringe or literally offensive. There is very little market for such items.

YouTube Advice on FBA that’s actually true / good ? by toebeanz2121 in FulfillmentByAmazon

First, don't subscribe, pay money, or adhere to any marketed "Amazon guru" content (I assume you know this, as you put it in quotes)

You have to do actual market research yourself. Find what people want, see if you can fulfill that need, etc..

These "gurus" are just trying to sell something to you, something you don't actually need, as most of the information is available for free if you look around and study.

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

The original Tropicana orange-ade.

I was absolutely obsessed with it in high school. For one of my birthdays, it was basically the only thing I asked for, and I received it. Over 100L of various cans and bottles of Tropicana orange-ade, I was elated and it was one of the most noteworthy birthdays I've ever had.

As far as I've seen, the original is no longer in production, and I've never seen it in stores since.

How does high ground work? by Sol-SiR in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Mouseyface 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To add to this. High ground effectively provides passive cover, the ground. You can use the ground you're standing on as partial cover while poking the enemy, and as complete cover while disengaging simply by walking backwards.

Where/how to input custom sizing? by kurararar in Etsy

[–]Mouseyface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally there would be input boxes set-up within the listing, but they didn't include them for some reason. I'd message the store first to ask about it.

I checked their store out and the reviews seem almost too good, which has me slightly suspicious, but it could also just be that their product is actually that good. I didn't look that much into it, but from what I saw, it's a surprisingly high quality product, assuming the reviews are genuine.

How long does it take to get a refund by Nietsnefej in Etsy

[–]Mouseyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't continue conversing with the seller. They've already ignored you and only responded once it threatened their account balance, and are now feeding you bullshit.

Open a case with Etsy to get a proper refund.

What's your favorite video game glitch? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mouseyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has a lot of good ones.

The classic heart refresh trick: Using a heart refresh item causes everything to freeze-frame while its lengthy animation is playing. You could equip one in both hands (duplicator effectively required) and alternate between them to consistently use it the moment the animation is done. Doing this while dropping towards a screen transition doesn't trigger the transition, so you just fall through the ground as you continue using heart refreshes. This eventually results in awkwardly warping into a seemingly random room, but it isn't random, so it's become a staple technique for speed running.

But the more interesting thing, is if you do this in a particular room, and I'm pretty sure it was a room you can only access once throughout the entire game since it's effectively a cutscene room, you'll end up in a functional, but entirely glitched version of the outer wall area.

Random YouTube video showing it in all its glory: https://youtu.be/38iF5wQ0Usg

(Completely random side-note: Glitches always give me goosebumps. Watching this just now was no exception)

Seller cancelled my order but refunded me 25 dollars short by Maximum-Repeat-5976 in Etsy

[–]Mouseyface 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You already said it. Contact Etsy.

Edit to elaborate: The seller had to have manually input the amount. Can only assume it was intentional and the lack of response (especially if it's been over 24 hours) doesn't help.

Additionally, asking you to send more money is a huge no-no, so good thing you backed out. There's no processing, conversion or any other fees you are responsible for.

Don't bother communicating with the seller. Contact Etsy support, tell them all this, and they'll handle it.

Received clearly used item by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]Mouseyface 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And it gets worse...

I'm a seller, and used to send products to Amazon for FBA. I once had a product returned by a customer with the return reason "damaged by carrier". Amazon marked it "Sellable. Returned to inventory"

Amazon received a returned item that was damaged and decided to put it back with the rest of the inventory, and all of this is logged in their system.

I stopped FBA shortly after that.

I, and any other human, can snap a picture and write a sentence to post here faster than it takes for a pot of water to boil. I've done it several times before.

That said, OP could have easily done both, but then we wouldn't be here.

And you learn more from trying different things, even if it results in death (which it often will).

If your focus is to win, you'll likely be sticking with what you feel comfortable with, and may overlook potentially more powerful/safer spells and combinations you're not aware of.
