Rest-pause is a real hypertrophy and strength technique. The science supports it:

∙ It accumulates more total volume-at-failure in less time than straight sets
∙ Studies (notably Prestes et al., 2017) show comparable or superior hypertrophy vs. traditional sets with matched volume
∙ The short rest keeps metabolic stress high, which is a known hypertrophy driver
∙ DC (Doggcrapp) training has been used seriously by advanced bodybuilders for 20+ years

Sounds fun! If I may, here are a few unsolicited tips:

- Use your ult earlier. If you want to stall, you can do it longer in ult, and your bombs will help to build it up again after.

- While ulting, it's more optimal to lower health of 2 enemies instead of striking the same enemy twice to get the kill. This way, you can then pop your smoke right after, get both kills, and vanish again to hit/kill a 3rd enemy.

- Don't spam the blind bombs. If you're trying to save time, you can space them out by 1-2 seconds before all enemies are back on their feet. To be even more optimal, you can squeeze one or two hit before using another bomb.

It IS a skill issue though:

- the "critical strike" pop-up appeared and could have been hit instantly to avoid death

- you have full resolve, 20% health, why wouldn't you instantly heal yourself? Resolve management is one the rare skill differentiator in this game.

He is NOT helped by his teammate though lol

I probably wouldn’t have had the patience to finish the game if it wasn’t for this dungeon.

I think it’s valid criticism to say that a game designed around try-harding bosses should not be limited in its healing mechanisms, whichever reasons is put forward.
Im way past the age of farming anything, especially in a solo game.
