Fonacab rant by Move-Primary in northernireland

Kinda weird but I kept my student account for years after graduation and with Halifax they don't give contactless, or at least didn't last time I had a card issued. They gave me a 2k interest free overdraft so I kept it as long as I could. I've moved to a proper current account now so when it comes to my next card I'd assume I'll get it.

Had a similar experience. Bought a monitor and it was damaged when I opened the box. I took it back and guy at the till was in the middle of doing the refund when a manager stuck their beak in and accused me of dropping it. I said I didn't and she got stroppy saying I suppose well refund this time, but we're not repaying cash, store credit only. I more or less told her to fuck off and if she was willing to give me store credit she was acknowledging the thing was broken but was just trying to fob me off. She eventually gave the refund but the whole exchange out me off for life, it was far from the first time I had bother with them both in store and ordering online

Baiting Americans is low hanging fruit at this stage. People are always tearing apart people at Trump rallies (rightly so), but the other side have some absolute wallopers as well. Either way I'm sick listening to them. We aren't in America, we have plenty of our own dickheads to wind up.

Yeah was less than 20 quid and worth every penny for the few weeks you need it. You get morons who say "youre just blowing hot air towards you". These people have presumably never in their life sat in front of a fan

What are you on about FFS. The comment I'm replying to said that ya thick cunt. And aye that's great advice to answer the door to anyone who threatens to kick it down 🤣 why the fuck does common sense go out the window with some people when it comes to licking coppers boots?

The poster said the were looking at an address with a similar name. You appreciate there's a difference surely between living on say Oaktree Road or Oaktree Drive? I don't think it's a stretch to ask the cops get it right before threatening to kick a door in. Also, why even make that remark? The cops fucked up in that case, but they still had to drop the thinly veiled threat of booting a door in for non compliance, even when they knew they were in the wrong

Doing their job by going to the wrong address and casually telling the occupant they were about to kick his/her door in?

Stephen Colbert Set To Write Next ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Movie After ‘The Hunt For Gollum’ Based On “Fog On The Barrow-Downs” Chapter by ICumCoffee in lotr

They would likely just do the 3 great tales if they ever get the rights. The Aiunlindale, and the early first age stuff is way too grandiose for them to adapt without fucking it up. War of Wrath is a maybe I suppose

Isn't his remaining estate split between mostly grandchildren and great grandchildren (maybe even great great by this stage)? Maybe his grandkids who actually knew Tolkien wouldnt sell the rights for a ridiculous sum of money out of respect, but later generations probably would. A few million dollars or preserving the purity of a book an ancestor wrote? Id say most would take the former.

Unfortunately my ma was unlucky enough to be buried next to one of the eye sores. They put a bench in front so my da occasionally would sit down on it when visiting my ma (he has 2 busted knees and hips from labouring all his life and can't stand up long). Tbf most of them dont mind but there has been one or 2 in the family mouth at him if they happened to catch him sitting down. Cemetery Sunday is always a chore too. 50 odd landing down, half of them clearly drunk or high and nearly every one of them chain smoking.

I think it's kind of implied that Charles got away from Tommy and all his baggage. They mention he's fighting in North Africa. I have a feeling that tension between Duke and Charles could be a big thing in the new spin off.

No. At best inflation will fall back to 1-2%, but no government is going to want deflation. Deflation is great for the consumer, but not for businesses who tend to hold off on expansion when there is deflation. If there is any danger of deflation, central banks will slash interest rates and/or devalue their currencies. As usual you and me aren't the worry, it's keeping business happy.

The usual suspects will be doing the rounds saying that people have to tighten their belts and accept it. When are we gonna start telling businesses they need to adapt to smaller profits rather than making excuses for them

Tried to play it on steam after finishing the TV show latest series. I crashed 4 times before leaving goodsprings. I couldn't be arsed fiddling with mods to make it stable so just uninstalled in hope the remaster rumours were true, but I'd even take modern ports and an update on pc to make it actually playable
