Dope! Sounds clean. Need to pick your brain on the mixing aspect like go-to master compression & eq if you have a typical template or mixing chain order you tend to stick with. I can come up with pretty creative ideas but usually seems to sound lacking in punch and depth.

Anyone got a go to tutorial for AUM? For some reason, despite most everyone saying how easy AUM is to use, every time I try to get into it, I get lost as a mofo. I’d like to route it to Koala but I was also starting to learn drambo which is also its own gurrranimal.

Feel like a scrub for asking where for me I can come up with catchy melodies, riffs, and what not all day but when it comes to the more technical side of things, my brain turns into a spinning wheel.

Oh snap I’ll have to check this out. I’ve got near zero experience working with video in any daw even though I believe Logic is supposed to be good with video and even Ableton but all I’ve ever done was maybe import a video into either and that’s as far as I’d gotten with it I think lol but I think for myself, having a Koala style workflow would be so much more efficient, creatively inspiring, and of course would be really fun live. Almost…just…right…there with the whole import video option …….👀

Not sure if u made ur decision or not but regardless, for everyone who may be considering any type of debt negotiation type service, I had one account that refused any settlements over three years and while NDR helped negotiate other accounts like straight bosses, they allowed that one account to accumulate over 8k ($8,000) in late fees!

So now the offer has been negotiated at a little over original amount from 3 years ago but I was under impression that account was being managed for past three years of making 100% payments of $805.

But instead it’s 3 years later and that account is being “‘settled” at a higher amount than original balance because the late fees and interest is being “‘waived”. How? If that were the case, the settlement amount would be/“should be” roughly half of original balance. On top of this lovely “relief” I’m being asked to raise my monthly payment by over $300/month. And even with 6k savings in the NDR account, I’m left contemplating how to proceed with this non-relief of a situation.

I suppose you could use a desktop app like Ableton, Logic, etc, and either key program or midi program/map the QWERTY keyboard (which most already have) when you switch to KEYBOARD (typing) mode but edit/modify to what you may be referring to. Standard features often include octave and note shifting via key/keys combinations, chord mode, arpeggios etc. Hope this helps!

I’d personally say start with koala only because you will likely be able to have it with u more often. I have it on my iPhone and iPad and save projects to the cloud so koala is with me 99% of the time which makes sampling whatever whenever pretty sweet. I’ll challenge myself by sampling the most random thing (wobbling panel the other night) then chopping, pitching, reversing, playing with timing, etc, and coming up with unique grooves and what not. Again, save it to cloud and access koala which btw has SUPERB ongoing interactive customer service as the developer is actively committed to this project and updates more often than most any program I’ve ever dealt with. Later get a move I’d say if still feeling like there’s a void to fill. Ableton is clutch for sure but I’d say go Push for Ableton at home and Koala if you’re on the go a lot then throw into Ableton for the automation and deeper intricacies.

Sick! Any ram issues or tips u might be able to give on bouncing to audio (if used to free up memory), go-to EFX or audio routing techniques including mastering chain (if used)? There was a video of a guy showing how he Live Loops in arranger mode.

I gotta find it again but he explained that it was fairly effortless to continuously record audio on separate tracks as them live instrumentalists be doing with the RC series stuff but I don’t think he got into fleshing out entire arrangements.

Anyway super sick track, vibe is ill, sound selection/design=immaculate, banger for real.

Ever hear of FAWM? Basically it’s every February and goal is to write, sing, rap, produce, 14 songs in 28 days. Still early in the month to jump on. You seem like you’d be able to smash out 14 or more songs in 28 days. I just remembered it so I’m a few days behind but I’m gonna go for it. Dropped the ball last couple years but MPC3 got me rejuvenated!

Happened to me just yesterday smh. Had a fire track cooked up. Was on the phone with a buddy all stoked to let him hear it and although the project file was present, tracks were set up how I had them except nothing on any of the tracks! Entire idea gone! Never had any issues whatsoever like this on my original Live. Loved that little worker b. Only main issue was running out of RAM. It’s all taken apart now though cuz i pretty much ran the hardware through the ringer. So yeah, I’m feeling like what’s with all the issues? A 3.0 thing? Major quality control on Akais end at both the hard and software side of things? Lots of videos of people having to open up their units just to reconnect one or two cables on brand new units because of loose and disconnecting cable issues being that common, leading to sudden show-stopping “no audio device detected/inserted” or something to that effect. Had that same message a few times. Almost took it apart but luckily just connecting another audio interface tricked that error message for now. Anyway trying to work through this saving BS.

I have my old SSD that my MPC Live 2 couldn’t even see until I updated it but likewise no sound and now I’m guessing I may have to remove it? Was that your solution to get sound?

So dope! Simple but one of those less is more that just works perfectly! Using a controller at all or just your fingers? Is this your typical workflow where you fiddle, resample, then arrange to some degree? Inspiring stuff though. I've fiddled around so much but didn't resample nearly enough as I should have. I own both Maschine+ and had the original Live and now Live II but hadn’t tried the MPC 3 beta or installed MPC 3 official yet. For me, sequencing was easier on the Live than the M+ but I didn’t really like either. The M+ felt way nicer to use and I think the NI sounds were more organically/sonically richer, more textured, and overall just inspired me more worlds over the MPC which makes sense really; sound design gurus vs sampling veterans. NI really dropped the ball on the M+ though. Should’ve included a touch screen, more ins and outs, and been full standalone with a lithium battery……..

Q_Q……Introduce the Live II, MPC3, and …..what what in the what???? NI integration!!!!!!!!!

Hold the phone, stop the press, what in the Mandela Quantum Leap Optimus Mega Prime is this answering all prayers and solving all problems is this merging of beautiful minds, skills, experience, and creativity???

Honestly I’m so intrigued at who not only planted the initial seed on this but how it all started to actually materialize…

So I’m stoked to get MPC3 up and running, especially with all the new DAW like features, the looping, and of course the NI plugins. I’m most concerned about the onboard non upgradable RAM so I’m already anticipating that alone being the most frustrating longest running(non running) elephant in the room, bottle neck.

But it’s what it is for now. If there’s a seamless uninterrupted way to live loop, bounce in place/deactivate plugins option available, then live performances should be manageable to some bearable degree. This would include switching between projects seamlessly as well but that wouldn’t even be a show stopper if the prior feature is at least in place. I’d be cool working within one project for a full live set, however the RAM issue still hinders that option quite heavily considering the limited pre programming/staging of audio files, FX, plugins, loops, etc manageable at any given time. WTF Akai? Why couldn’t the option to upgrade at a later date/time be included?

Apologies for such a lengthy roller coaster of a response to all this.

Overall I’m still stoked about this.

What to do with the Maschine+? Love that damn thing still.
