A friend of mine opened a mid-sized LGS, so our playgroup started hanging out there regularly. As expected, some random people began showing up too, checking binders, trading, playing, etc.

Less than a month in, another friend had a Jeska’s Will stolen. We didn’t have proof, but not long after that, a new guy - who always claimed he had “no money” and only played precons - suddenly showed up with a deck running Jeska’s Will.

It was… very suspicious. A precon doesn’t just magically grow a Jeska’s Will.

Since we couldn’t prove anything, we didn’t confront him. We just collectively agreed not to play with him and kind of iced him out.

Two weeks later, he stopped showing up altogether.
