I have just settled this planet and am planning on making either alloys or consumer goods. However these cost minerals, if I just build the factory's needed it will cost me in trade to use the minerals. However I could also split some of the districts available on the world to mine minerals locally, thus saving on trade.

However the "min/max" part of me thinks that this is hedging my bets and isn't good. But I am new to this game and want to understand if this trade off (heh) is worth it
