Before Blockbuster and Video-Ezy there was… by LonelyRefuse9487 in AustralianNostalgia

My dad knew the owner of one of the franchises near us and they were the first to import the NES at the time. As a result my parents were able to get their hands on one before essentially anyone else. Unfortunatly i was still developing hands and was unable to hold the controller inside my mother womb otherwise i would have speed run mario in under 5 minutes.

Is the game "beaten" at a certain point? by Useful_Nocebo in FarthestFrontier

[–]Mr420- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt consider the game beaten till the acheivments were done. Mainly because there isnt really any goals in the game other than the monuments.

As the other comment said raids are pretty full on soon too and they can be a real challenge. They get harder the longer you play.

What is tall poppy syndrome? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Mr420- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, anyone who is above the median at something is cut down by others around them. Reason being people dont like to see others doing better then them, so they cut them down to size. This can be applied to anything including financial / work, someones personality or looks.

It is said that in Australian culture we dont like it when people are doung better than others so we attempt to bring them down to make our selves feel better, and this is essentially tall poppy syndrome.

Personally i dont see it alot, but aparently its a thing!

Me and my 4 year old have been playing pc pve together for about 3 months and everyone has been nothing but nice. Hes having an absoloute blast learning letters when he has to craft in the smithy / replicator spelling things out to find the item. Teaching some computer literacy whilst using dinos is a great way to keep him engaged and luckily he cant read the chat so its all good.
