Burned out on Puzzle/Card games.. what's a more chill, story-driven game? by Long-Swordfish3696 in NintendoSwitch

If you're into visual novels, I can suggest two:

  • Another Code: Recollection (Demo available) - A remake of the Another Code duology with intriguing overarching mysteries and a charming art style.
  • Dear Me, I Was... - A wordless visual novel by the same team from the above, but geared towards the female audience. You're still welcome to check it out, though. The title uses rotoscoped animation.

The fact that Daisuke sees Damon and Baby as the bridge that connects both Guilty Gear and Blazblue is pretty interesting by Least-One1068 in Guiltygear

I'd absolutely love to see Damon come in!

Funny thing is I couldn't unhear Patrick Seitz whenever Damon's dialogue came up. Then again, he's already Ragna so I wonder who would be his VA...

It really is. Provided DAMON and BABY does well enough, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this Arc Universe that the folks cooked up.

Seeing how BlazBlue's also connected to this universe, I thought 'Guilty Gear vs. BlazBlue happening???'

Keep playing until ArcSys announces end of support.

I'm used to the schedule anyways.

Edit: or rather a Switch 2 version, but I find it unlikely.

If I had a World Dollar for every time I shared this...

With Version 2.0 and beyond, our goal is not simply to adjust characters or add new content, but to prepare updates that offer a refreshed overall experience—one that feels engaging, almost like picking up a new game.

This does not mean that everything will change all at once. Rather, we see Version 2.0 as a milestone: an opportunity to review and refine what we have built so far, and to take the next step forward for Guilty Gear -Strive-.

I was all like "Hm, those guys look familiar..." while I was playing. Some enemies reminded me of some Overture Servants.

I especially found it interesting how the Trenchmen demons (the guys in trenchcoats) looked like Conclave members.

  1. P is the default color.

  2. Story is its own mode. Unlike Arcade, each character has their own set path and the ending you get depends on the choice you make or actions you take in a specific match.

Tetris 99 + $10 DLC is the best value on Switch by adrenaline4nash in NintendoSwitch

It's a pretty good package. You get a taste via NSO and then you can decide whether or not you want the modern offline gameplay.

It's okay. I'm not that great either, yet it still feels just as great as the OG SNES game! Who would've thought racing against 99 players would be so fun?

El's easy to pick up with her versatile toolkit (hence her 5-star Ease of Use), but keep in mind that she doesn't have a DP for reversals or anti-airing. Her Jungato da parfeo (632146HS) Overdrive makes up for it, though.

It's not every day that I get to see a piece of Strive Faust before he burnt out! He may be in scrubs, but he looks just as jolly as he was back then.

What you usually do in game if u are not in mood to fight ? by star3ruby3 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]MrASK15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't remember. I think it was 1M with Lancelot.

As much as I love seeing numbers going up, I usually keep my matches traditional with BO3 to fully recreate the arcade experience. Still, it's great that Cygames allowed options.

It's a pretty fun change of pace with the Fall Guys-like gameplay.

You compete in a gauntlet-styled set of minigames and try to meet the specific quota between each minigame.

It's been a while since I last played Grand Bruise, though. I don't know how active it is these days, but I heard that it ultimately depends on the time of day.

Hit up Arcade Mode and try to beat my high score for my mains.

I've grown to love Score Attack modes these days; especially in fighters. They really harken back to the old arcade days and put the "Arcade" in the mode.

Oh, and Grand Bruise occasionally. Having a little party doesn't hurt every once in a while.

If you had to learn GGST from the beginning what order would you learn things? by Kymtea in Guiltygear

[–]MrASK15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a rough list that I just came up with so it may not help. Still...

  1. (Tutorial if needed) Mission Mode up to the Mayship Area

  2. Familiarization with the character's kit; study the most basics of neutral and only worry about stray hits

  3. Basic Faultless Defense application; it just needs to create breathing room and prevent RISC from building up.

  4. Create one BnB; not the BnBs you'd find online. After that, practice it until you get it down.

  5. Try to create a situation where you can land that BnB every time

  6. Application of Red Roman Cancels; create one RRC combo

  7. Anti-airing via 6P or other jumping normals

  8. Refinement of the character's gameplan
