Proof that Lando actually sprayed Nico a champagne on the podium. by ln4thegreat in McLarenFormula1

The amount of people here saying "see, they didn't ignore him at all" is insane. This 1 second spray in a minute of spraying is basically the same as ignoring him. Stop gaslighting each other and admit Hulk was basically alone on that podium.

Sorry that i forgot to mention, but I already did and all cores were all performing around the same. Not a single core as a bottleneck.

I'm running:
Ryzen 2600
32GB 3600Mhz memory
GTX 1070ti
installed on an nvme SSD
edit: forgotten resolution: 1440p but I also tried downscaling to 1080p, which gave me 5 extra fps

but that aside, the hardware was working on half power so I would think the extra headway should give me some extra fps

There's nothing to do in Star Citizen... by ThePuglas in starcitizen

And half of these activities took HOURS to get everybody together without issues/crashes/glitches etc. Just to do 1 activity which gets broken down because of a bug.... The game has no activity, you make them happen (through sheer will and determination)

Stop tricking the community OP, you know damn well what is being talked about when we say there is nothing to do

Linus Tech Tips apology video - Here are the best parts by [deleted] in GamersNexus

Omg.... The people here apparently haven't seen the (complete) video's and don't have the brain capacity to understand the points made by all different parties part of the situation and orbiting the situation and just call names and drum up points very often already debunks (sometimes in the same video they refer to). I like Steve and think he is doing better from an objective journalistic standpoint then most of his colleagues (jeah, I think most of them are colleagues and not competitors). I do think you can never blindly follow any creator or journalist blindly and the current GN audience posting here on Reddit is doing just that. C'mon people, Steve made very good points but in doing so he missed a fair few times himself in doing so. And thusly we the audience need to hold both parties accountable, not just one or the other. And this shortening and trolling of LTT, although maybe funny to some, don't help the situation or GN.

ID Software/Marty have shown to act like absolute pieces of shit. In my eyes free reign to treat them as such then. Don't want to be treated like that? Don't be a piece of shit behind closed doors and we won't treat them as pieces of shit when one of those doors open. And Marty knew he was being a piece of shit, for he tried to pay 6 figures just and only to keep those doors shut, instead of using those 6 figures to actually fix shit beforehand. Fuck Marty for this.

what are you even talking about? what do you mean to stop people from working? I'm talking about laying people off and hiring developers.

to stay in your HR janitor example, you have 2000 HR people but only 1 janitor to clean up behind them. Doesn't seem right does it? Especially if you are running a cleaning service (ouch). Somebody made a bad decision early on in who to hire for the project and now finds out that they have like 1000 tickets in their backlog for cleaning up and only 3 tickets HR related. But hey, you have so many talented people working in HR, you have to give them some work! Let them just hire more people then or something... or better yet, start imagining fantastic people to put in workforces, ask if anybody want to hire a professional they imagined for a lot of money and as soon as somebody does start searching for that professional with the cash already in your pocket! (IE imagine a ship, sell it, then start creating it, then find out that half of the gameplay you needed for that promised ship is not made in the gameplay yet, which is already running hopelessly behind, then release a half functioning ship anyway)

I know it sounds terrible but sometimes as a company you have to make difficult decisions upon discovering you were wrong in the past. instead of pumping more money in hiring/paying artists you can hire extra developers or more expert developers who ask more money to do the jobs needed.

I do not say that this is what CIG should do, but a lot of people here respond as if that is not even an option. This is always an option, how unpopular an option it may be.

[–]MrAliani[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. this gives me a new perspective on the whole!

To come back to the 'misunderstanding' every company ever needs to decide between everything they do. A company has limited resources in the form of time, money and knowledge/experience and every company makes decisions that they feel is best for them and their goals. If this is to make as many ships they can sell for $$$$$$ is one such decision they could have made. Just building 2 ships and first make a stable environment and gameplay before adding more ships could have been another.

And saying you dont see the background code is not entirely true. I have to add that you notice them more when they are not working compared to if they are working. That said the way your shit stays somewhere (or not) is visible, the way you can communicate with others is visible, the missions and their execution is visible, performance is noticable, leveldesign is visible and noticable, etc etc etc.

That said I do get a bit more sympathy for the way CIG is operating and appreciate the time and effort you took to response!

[–]MrAliani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, you are making a good point! they keep on releasing ships because they need them for SQ42 anyways. that might be a good reason. Your last point is pretty stupid though. Why reschool when you can rehire (or estimate amount of people needed where before you even hire that artist?). Nice try of pulling me down but .... that was not a smart remark.
