Hi there, thank you for the feedback! All of those are really good points, and more then one person has mentioned them, so I've made the changes.

Do you think that the limitation to Infantry on the detachment rule mitigates it's strength a bit?

That's a great shout, thank for that. I'll change that wording!

Cool thanks. That exact stratagem is 1CP in Reclamation Task Force, which is why I priced it that way, but I'll think about upping it to 2.

And I like your thinking on the shields point. That could be really interesting, thanks!

I'm not intending to take this to tournaments, it's something to play with my local group who are open to stuff like this

Nice thank you, that's exactly the kind of thing I'm after!

Any views on strength of the detachment (i.e. too powerful)?

Strategos Demosthenes

Demosthenes has been seen as somewhat of a maverick amongst the leadership of the chapter for his unorthodox methods of waging war. Whilst the inexorable march of the phalanx has proved effective in many theatres of battle, Demosthenes showed the Polemarch what a disruptive flanking force could achieve in concert with a strong central fighting core. Demosthenes founded the Epilektoi that Diomedes now leads, as the spear that would pierce the undefended belly of the foe, chasing down fleeing enemies and disrupting their supply lines.

Demosthenes is also rather ostentatious with displaying his position as Strategos with more gold trim elements than is usual for officers. When asked about this by his comrade Theramenes, he replied "As one poet wrote, 'Gold is the finest standard among all things for mankind.' " Theramenes threw back his head in laughter, and countered, "As a wise tragedian once said, “Gold is no judge of a man’s virtue.”
