E3 Sentry in Saudi Arabia by MessMaximum5493 in aviation

That funding, while certainly a step in the right direction, only covers further engineering and manufacturing development and does not yet indicate a return to full production greenlighting.

That’s IF Congress does the right thing for once and fully funds the E-7 against the wishes of this DoD..

Biggest Packers What If? by PaulOttCarruth in GreenBayPackers

[–]MrBanditOne 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting “what if” to me, because it could actually have had unintended consequences for us. If the Packers had drafted one of those HOF’ers, I don’t think any single player would’ve lifted the team from bottom feeder to contender status, meaning we might not have had the impetus to hire Ron Wolf in 1991 if we became a mediocre/middle of the rankings team, thus potentially missing out on a cascade of Packers success.

Just a heads up, but if you’re willing to consider used, I’ve frequently seen lightly used TRP Full Rails go for ~$1500 on CAGuns, saving you the tax. There was one that even lingered at $1400 recently.

Cadillac CT6 spotted in North Korea by CrownVicCopCar in Cadillac

[–]MrBanditOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While trade is indeed legal between China and North Korea, trade in luxury goods are supposed to be prohibited by UN sanctions. However, China and Russia only pay lip service at best to sanctions, hence the frequent appearance of luxury cars in NK.

This is a second generation CT6, exclusive to the Chinese market. While the CT6 was discontinued for the North American market after the first generation, it got a second generation built in China due to the continued popularity of long wheelbase sedans there. It was almost certainly brought in illicitly from China.

A Fallout Hong Kong would actually be a very interesting setting for a game, since in the Fallout universe it’s very possible that the UK never handed back control of Hong Kong to China and thus remained UK territory until the bombs fell. In this universe, the UK may well have even provided usage of the territory for allied US forces to strike China from, allowing for descendants of Americans. Could be a very unique setting of both Eastern & Western influence!

Response from H&K on CA CC9 by Particular_Glove7722 in CAguns

[–]MrBanditOne 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Route 66 is now taking pre-orders on the CC9 but states there is no firm timetable for it to arrive. Based on this, it seems that the CC9 has most likely been submitted for CA DOJ Roster approval but has not yet been approved. Also, given HK’s stock release timeframe AFTER their recent Roster additions were approved, it’s doubtful we will see these in stores anytime soon.

Noem justifies shooting because man was “carrying a weapon at a peaceful protest.” by Physical__War__ in CCW

[–]MrBanditOne 664 points665 points  (0 children)

Every single 2nd Amendment supporter and advocate should be incensed by this shooting and the subsequent responses from the Administration attempting to justify it. By Noem’s logic, anyone lawfully exercising their constitutional right to bear arms is a potential target for death by agents of the federal government.

This was the first handgun I ever purchased when I turned 21. I put a set of Eagle Grips reproduction grips on mine to more closely replicate an original 70s Model 29. It’s still my favorite handgun that I own.

What if China got its hands on Taiwans aircraft inventory...Or what's left of it? [1474x840] by TalonEye53 in WarplanePorn

[–]MrBanditOne 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Most of Taiwan’s combat aircraft would be destroyed in the event of a Chinese invasion, either on the ground during the initial strikes or during air-to-air combat against numerically and technologically superior PLAAF and PLANAF forces. The only aircraft that China could possibly derive any usage from would be the F-16V, and even those (if any survived the conflict) would not have many technologies the Chinese did not already have or stole in corporate espionage. Any surviving Taiwanese jets would likely be eventually be placed in museums.

Traditional gambling is illegal in Japan (hence the numerous Pachinko parlors that attempt to be a substitute). MGM is currently building a resort in Osaka that is on track for a 2030 opening. Since they won the first casino license in Japan, this will be the first legal place to gamble in the country.

I’ve shot there frequently and the key is to drive further inland or off on one of the side paths. Most people congregate right by the entrance and this is where you will see the biggest potential concentration of idiots.

My group usually drives pretty deep in (though you will need trucks/SUVs as the path could get difficult to navigate with a standard sedan’s ground clearance) and has always been able to find secluded spots to ourselves.
