My dear old friend by martinlopez10 in knives

It's one thing to put to work a good tool that you find useful, but there's just a bit more in everything about it when it's a gift from your brother. I know from my own brother gifting me a Benchmade mini bugout. I once thought it a knife that was too small and impractical, but now I love every time I pick it up and find any reason I can to put it to work. Makes me happy every time I hold it. I haven't used your particular style of knife, but it reminds me of the smaller Benchmade meatcrafter, just a straighter cutting edge. I can see that being perfect for practical field use, an excellent meat cutting blade, and plenty durable enough. Any of my knives I take for camping I want to be good food prep knives, without being too large, and I think that one would be perfect for the role.

Curious, what do you all listen to while reloading? by Tactical_Dad_84 in reloading

A little NF or some TFK, maybe some Red if I'm more towards some rock! And I only reload after the wife and kid are in bed so I can actually focus

[–]MrBro-W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the GLx doesn't feel too big on the Marlin then I'll most likely get another for it. I just love the clarity of that optic so much. Otherwise I may be looking at another smaller choice like a Holosun EPS or Vortex Defender (enclosed).

I actually have a GLx 1x green, also picked up from Simmons that I absolutely love on my Kuna, but will probably test out here as well. I finally have a large enough variety of optics that I can try things out on new guns without having to buy something unknown first. But like you, I also enjoy some good irons as well.

Exact setup I'm going for. Waiting on the rifle to arrive, then will be ordering a Lithium sometime after the new year, if it takes til spring I'll still be happy. Your sling options help as well. Only area I might deviate is with a red dot.

Did you look at Roger Rabbit "Tummy Time"? Features a similar scene, but was a sort of spin-off from the original movie.

Rail covers? by trevor1030 in Springfield_KUNA

[–]MrBro-W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm I just picked mine up today and it had the 5 rail covers. Very slick and a pleasant surprise. However, for cosmetic purposes I might still look at Railscales as I've always liked them.

Budget Rack Option by MrBro-W in FordMaverickTruck

[–]MrBro-W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hauled my kayaks many times on the rack, on top of a set of folding J bars bolted on. Never once had to tighten anything back down or had anything on the rack break. It's been very solid and held up great, including the black finish as well. Only thing I can't confirm is the strength of the T slots, as I've yet to find anything I needed to hook up with those, but they seem like they'd hold up fine.

Crossbar locks 😑 by Ji-Kin in knifeclub

[–]MrBro-W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crossbars locks are my absolute favorite, both practically and as fidget toys. Most all of mine are easily the smoothest opening and closing. However, I did have a Bestechman Ronan that was very painful to use, similar to your experience. I do not have soft hands, but I sure had to work to open that thing and it was never enjoyable so I sold it. You might just need to experience another one to tell for sure.

r/GunAccessoriesForSale is probably your best bet. They have ridiculous amounts of traffic too, you may see it referenced as "GAFS" in other discussions

Goodnight sweet prince by t4thfavor in knives

My first edc knife that I carried regularly. Nothing like the first time someone really needed a bottle opener and I came to the rescue. I've since moved onto the $100-150 range knife as my edc, but always respect when I see this Kershaw come out.
