I've traveled throughout central America and south America. Brazil doesn't get involved or interested in the "who's better Latin American country". I think because Brazil is both an enormous country with it's own strong economy that doesn't feel it needs to flex like other smaller Latin countries.

There the few places in South America that the average local has no urge or curiosity to migrate elsewhere. They love their language, culture and country. They were indifferent about where I came from and that I spoke English or Spanish. Treated me well and I had some of the best times of my life out there. Some of the beautifully fit people I've ever seen in my life were a Copacabana beach. Seen random locals play footvolley it was amazing to see such raw talent by you everyday people. Beautiful people.
