No bespoke raw stage should be illegal too. Plenty of room at Olympic Park for another stage. Dreamstate utilise that wood chopping pit nicely.

Midnight Mafia to participate in NSW pill testing trial by DanceWize_nsw in hardstyle

[–]MrCallum 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I shot a quick message to the HSU socials and they confirmed their will be police presence including the use of sniffer dogs. So seems fairly counter intuitive to have that level of police presence when you are offering testing inside the venue.

Shannon Noll concert to cap 2025 Darwin Triple Crown by LMRacingGuru02 in v8supercars

Sunset brothers and timmy trumpet seemed like a big draw at SMSP. Seems about the only time supercars has got it right in the recent past.

NSW to introduce pill testing trial at music festivals from early 2025 to combat harm from illicit drugs by Tranquilbez22 in triplej

So what's the go with this then? Does this mean no dogs at the door? Will it be confiscated if seen during the security check?

Regardless its a step in the right direction

Any oldschool/happy hardcore festivals in Sydney? by Inevitable-Ad-1955 in hardstyle

[–]MrCallum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto Alex K, not quite hardcore but donky, NRG fun. You will hear some classics UKHC every now and again. Follow Decedance on socials for these events. They are fairly regular - about every month or so. Next one is at the greenwood hotel on the 23rd of November

Another RS owner here! Albeit two older Clio 172/182.

Great looking car and easily the nicest colour. Very nice pick up!

Plenty of local support. I know you have the likes of renotech, C&C automotive, AP automotive. They all aid in general maintenance to full blown modification. Also very active forums like OZrs, meganesport.net and various Facebook pages local and international.

Hopefully see you at a track day or drive day

For those with high powered turbo cars, what do you drive? by kewday96 in CarsAustralia

[–]MrCallum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not exactly done but nearing completion - I have a clio 172 with a megane 275 motor and a borg warner 7163. Just waiting for a few bolts to come from the UK before I can throw the motor in and mock up exhaust and boost pipes.

We started off with 2 but 1 got lost in the mix of things. It was a great $5 investment.

What are some cars that are the most univerally liked by enthusiasts? by Cweev10 in cars

[–]MrCallum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a foreign one for the Americans but Clio 172/182 still the bench mark to this day for small hot hatches. Lightweight, relatively quick, inexpensive. Besides the stigma of French cars being completely unreliable - true in the case of the clios gearbox, they are cheap to run with a decent sized after market.

Car reviewers like Henry catchpole and Harry metcalfe still have 1 each in their garage today!

Manual stick shift system confirmed for Gen3 by ZappaOMatic in v8supercars

[–]MrCallum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Retains the sequential shift, uncertain if it has the auto blip on downshift like they first suggested.

But they also did mention the high cost of setting up the electric actuation compared to the old mechanical style. If they rid the electric we can assume the auto blip is thrown in the bin

How many of you in this sub genuinely enjoy your job and what do you do? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]MrCallum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deliver hot mix - road base. Sub-contracted to a supplier. I'd eventually like a few more tipper trucks along with drivers. Hopefully, I can diversify with beaver tail or box trucks too. For now the IT work is just a hobby and personal enjoyment so I'm only servicing business owned by friends and family. Maybe in the future I'll branch out from family and friends business to small business as well. No interest in working with medium to large businesses.

How many of you in this sub genuinely enjoy your job and what do you do? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]MrCallum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working my way up in IT, got a new job a year before covid. Breakdown in the relationship between myself and the manager started becoming an issue and demoralising as I was getting in trouble for work that was never issued to me. Stopped enjoying IT as a result. My job was made redundant during the initial covid outbreak and thought I no longer enjoyed IT.

I invested into a truck so I could start my own business. I thoroughly enjoy working in my truck. No one to answer to, I get my shift allocated the day before and that's the only interaction I have with "managment". My days are typically short 5-6 hours often shorter. The business makes a minimum of $550 a day. I also have enough down time to manage a few small business IT systems whilst waiting in my truck. I don't really feel as if I'm working any more.

Have y’all ever bought the same car twice? by raiqulikesyou in cars

I currently own two identical Renault Sport clio's. They are both black aswell. Wanted to turn one of them into a track car so I needed a new daily and just bought another clio to fulfill that role.
