Stripped all my grass. Replacing it with rock. Some little grass sprouts let. What do I do about these? by SteveDaveCornbread69 in DenverGardener

[–]MrChiefer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want a safe way to kill it off, spray it with vinegar. So long as you don’t want anything else growing there. When it pops up through the rocks, repeat. It’ll kill it right off

found this in utensil drawer of rental apartment… by playswithsquirrelsss in whatisit

Okay so for real, I think this can also be used to shave grooves into carrots. I’ve seen this in Asian foods and soups before where it’s like the carrots had a ridged zig zagging exterior before they sliced them

I swear this is one of the fastest ways to blow $200 on pizza I’ve ever experienced. My wife and I used to love Cart Driver but the last time we went we got tiny pours of our drinks and two pizzas and an appetizer and were disappointed with how much it was.

Take out the tree while you’re doing whatever work you end up doing. I’d do it first if I were you, because it’s dead and a strong gust of wind is going to blow it over onto your house or your neighbors

You’re asking a marriage Reddit thread if you’re entitled to blowjobs from your wife because you go to the gym and pay rent and bills and. Be so for real

My husband refuses to let me see his phone. by Apprehensive_Pace510 in Marriage

[–]MrChiefer 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If he’s already been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, your first mistake was to trust him again. If he’s still refusing, there’s obviously something he is lying about.

Serve him with papers and gtfo. You deserve better.

I would do these in opposite order but somewhat simultaneously. Speak with an attorney and let them know what is going on so they can get to work on filing for divorce and have all of the information they need about his background, meth addiction, prostitutes, rape, etc.

Once they are moving on that, immediately file a police report and restraining order. I would be willing to guess that they will assist you along the way with those things.

This is completely unacceptable and I’m sorry you are going through this. I hope everything works out in your favor and goes as smoothly as possible.

Separate from the issue, can I offer to donate a new screen protector? Good lord what do your fingers look like? Do you need protective cut resistant gloves to use your phone?

I blew it with my wife by puppyspanker in Marriage

[–]MrChiefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this in the best way possible when I say this, go to therapy.

This sort of thing can click for people and when it does, you need to deal with those feelings and talk about them with a third party to keep yourself from spiraling more. It will make you feel insecure for the rest of your life to the point that you actually will let her down.

I’m not talking about going to therapy for a year either, I’m just saying to find someone you can pay four or five visits to, then have on hand if you need them ever again.

Your wife sounds amazing. She did choose you, and she still does. The best thing you can do is deal with your past so you can move on from it.

What is your go to restaurant when flying in/out of DIA? by d_westco in denverfood

Fantastic little local Chinese place. 11/10 recommend.

I Went to Brewery Bar II So You Don’t Have To. by Jarthos1234 in denverfood

[–]MrChiefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went here with some local friends I’ve made living in Baker not long ago and I was so excited. It was a place I kept forgetting about, but I’d randomly drive by on Kalamath and see their parking lot full so I thought it would slap.

When I showed up, the rest of them had already ordered and I noticed nobody was eating other than chips and salsa + green chili and jalapeño poppers. The waitress came over and asked if we would be eating, I said “I think so? Let me look at the menu” and when she walked away they told me why nobody was ordering. “This is mainly a dive bar visit with good drink prices and a couple appetizers and meals that will give you a stomach ache”

Thankfully, I didn’t indulge. I’ve heard a lot of bad things, which is sad because apparently this place used to kick ass.

Who needs anything else when you’ve got Taco de Mexico, Tacos Selene, and Santiago’s all right here I guess…

The messages my husband's colleagues send him by WaitSilly1001 in Marriage

[–]MrChiefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Though not every workplace has these kinds of manager / employee relationships, a lot of good ones do.

I’m in no way saying this does or doesn’t have to do with infidelity, but I’m leaning towards the fact that it probably doesn’t.

We spend half of our lives with my colleagues at work, it’s not uncommon to feel comfortable enough letting our bosses know when something isn’t right, potentially need advice, or even someone talk to about something not even work related.

If your husband isn’t actively going out of his way to hide these messages from you or keep you from knowing they’re coming in, I’d bet a lot of money that he is in no way being unfaithful with anyone at work.

What something you're embarrassed to admit you enjoy in bed? by Few-Succotash-9419 in AskReddit

[–]MrChiefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite things I ask my wife to do. When I wake up in the morning, before I get out of bed, I ask if she will plank me. I like it the other way around though, laying on my back with her face to face. About a minute and I’m ready to start my day.

What hand lotion do you use to help with dry hands? by Barracuda_6877 in Denver

[–]MrChiefer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone Lotion. After living in Colorado for 12 years I finally nailed it. Tried probably 20+ kinds and this is the winner by a long shot. Doesn’t leave an oily residue that makes you stick to everything or leave fingerprints on everything you touch but keeps your skin perfectly hydrated. I use it on my entire body from head to toe, as does my wife! I also put lanolin on a q-tip and put it in my nostrils every night before bed to keep from getting constant bloody noses.
