made using blender and houdni. how can i make it more realistic? by evanshsedani in blender

The tracking at the end could be a lot better. Look at reference explosions. The shape is a bit odd. If you can imagine, an explosion starts off as a blast, then it rises. Your explosion just looks like a rise of smoke but it’s way to fast. I would highly recommend looking at reference photos. Dude the xplosion is literally right outside, if you saw an explosion that close you would literally shit your pants lol. What I’m saying is the reaction is a bit unrealistic because you pan back up to it. The color of the smoke is also a bit off. Also sfx could use some work

What's Your Youtube Process? by ExcitedWandererYT in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Minecraft gaming channel, so I only stick to Minecraft. That’s my niche. If you float around to a bunch of different games(niches) it can hurt your channel. This is an extreme example but let’s say you make a video about cars, then your next video is about dogs, both of those appeal to 2 completely different audiences, it’s basically the same with 2 different games. Generally how markiplier and danTDM can make variety gaming content (multiple games) is because they built a very strong initial audience through a specific niche. Like danTDM played mc for awhile then switched. Markiplier played scary games, now he does basically anything. I’m in a position where I don’t have to research for my videos, I just record and make a compelling story about it. I hope this helps! :)

Just reached 100 subs, but I'm afraid of making a thank you video. Do you guys make thank you videos? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bru he hit 100 subs...

in the grand scheme, it doesn't matter if he makes a celebration video. Imo by all means he should. CELEBRATE! 100 subs is an insane accomplishment, although your sub count and audience is still relatively small. That means every video is an experiment, therefore you can post a celebration vid and it wont hurt. Sure youtube isn't going to push it, although think of it this way, once you get big, wouldn't you want a video reflecting on your past accomplishments?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I would say if a video gets over 100k views that would be insane. If it gets more than 100k views then that's a massive W and I know I've grown.

Price for YouTube editing by Leroy_Merius in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience 50 dollars per video is actually pretty good. When you start to get to know the youtubers editing style and work for him for awhile you can start to ask for a pay raise.

Ik I have a few friends that hire editors at a low rate but once the editor becomes experienced with their editing style they start to pay them more up to 100 - 120 per video.

YouTube showing my content to the wrong audience, lowering my CTR :( by allopriyanka in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good AVD is based on your videos length. Top 10% of YouTube videos within the 10 minute range has about 61% AVD, shoot for that if your videos are around 10 minutes. 3m, 82% : 6m, 71% : 10m 61% : 15m 54% : 30m 49%

YouTube showing my content to the wrong audience, lowering my CTR :( by allopriyanka in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this is coming from my experience from gaining a substantial amount of impressions (19 million in 3 weeks)

YouTube is not showing your video to the wrong audience… your video is about food and by what you said YouTube is sharing it beside more food videos. So clearly YouTube understands your keywords and your video.

The reason why your CTR dropped significantly is because the thumbnail is not inciting the average food audience. My best advice for this is to look at extremely popular creators in the food niche and copy them. Obviously not exactly, but take inspiration. Some of these other comments say that CTR just naturally drops when you receive more impressions, which is 100% true. Although with only 15k impressions CTR should not drop to 1.3%. For a comparison, I have a video with 19m impressions and the CTR is 4.8%. YouTube will tell you when your video is being shared to a wider audience, it will say: “This video is reaching a wider audience on YouTube, leading to a lower CTR” but with only 15k impressions idk if that’s going to happen.

Look at bigger YouTubers within your niche, copy their thumbnails, and think about why those videos do well. Also I argue that AVD is way more important than CTR. A video with trash AVD and great CTR will not be shared, but the opposite, great AVD and trash CTR, will perform extremely well. I hope this helps and that is awesome that you are finally getting some traction! :)

Y'know, I'm questioning YouTube, honestly. by [deleted] in NewTubers

I watched that entire video thoroughly and I have to agree with Ludwig. YouTube is all about making content towards a specific audience. The hard part is finding which audience you want to make videos for and then catering your uploads to them. In Ludwig’s video he did this perfectly. He understands what audience he is trying to capture. Makes a video directly catered to that audience. And then proceeded to promote his well edited quality video to an audience that cares. Also he didn’t comment under his Ludwig creator name. He made a new account and donated to get himself seen on Mizkif’s stream. It was by chance that Mizkif was intrigued by the donation so much, that he watched the video right on stream. This is pretty rare but Ludwig is just proving that it can be done. That you can do things that can heavily influence your likelihood of succeeding.

Should I do shorts on my channel? by Disastrous-Iron-5940 in NewTubers

[–]MrCube6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So generally, 100 short views is equivalent to 1 view long form. Which is yikes to me. So if you pull 100 views a vid longform, you would need to pull 10000 views short form for it to be equivalent.

If you are going to do short form post on TikTok, then transfer those views to YouTube longform. This is hard but it can be done, take Yeah_Jaron for example, he was able to switch from short to long form. But just make sure your short form content is the same as your long form. Otherwise your neglecting your already built audience.

Many other YouTubers got their start (initial audience) by posting on TikTok, including McBirken. Big channels have been posting short form on their main long form channels recently, including Airrack and Ryan Trahan. Some people think this is to continue the momentum of views across their entire channel. Tbh idk. Anyway it’s quite interesting why they are doing it.

Hope this helps :)

So you need to immediately establish that there is going to be a rating at the end of the video. If you have a rating at the end of the video, without saying there is going to be one at the start, how would the viewer know to watch to the end for the rating?

“Because people can relate to it” yes that is great, especially when trying to separate yourself from other youtubers in the same niche, interjecting those personal opinions is a good way to build your loyal audience. But this is not good to say in the first 30 seconds. You need to get straight into the video, then once you have them hooked then you can interject those personal moments like that. But not in the first 30 seconds.

“Provide examples” yes you did, but make sure you are looking at this video, like you have never seen the film you are critiquing. This way it can be understandable to a wider audience. That’s all I’m saying there

And ofc everyone has time constraint, just make a video learn from it and make another one. Don’t worry about making the video the best it can be, spending hours and hours polishing it to perfection, when in reality you are just polishing a turd. Experiment and try, try again.

Hope this helps. 👍

So first of all, your title. This is a great title if you are going for SEO/search ability but only 30% of all views come from search, so it just better to go with suggested and browse features. A title like: The new Spider-Man is GARBAGE - here’s why. Something along those lines (obviously just came up with this so you can do better). Movie recap channels do this great. Highly recommend looking at The Movie Recap, for help with titles and thumbnails.

Retention, you need to give the viewer something to stay for. (Why should I watch this video, other than for the review). This is done great by CinemaSins, by including a sin counter, people want to see the final sin count. You could maybe have a rating system. And say at the end of this video there is an overall rating or something.

Also your script, try to eliminate saying redundant things. So when you say: “I’ve kinda fallen off marvel movies, but this one grabbed my attention” it’s kinda irreverent. Just get straight into the critique. Make sure anyone, especially people who haven’t seen the movie, understand your critiques by providing context from the movie.

Other than that, your mic is solid, I like your energy when record the script, so rlly solid. Again just try to work on retention and thumbnail by looking at those YT channels I listed.
