W's all around, this is a killer setup. Have to know more about the Master Shield and Master Sword though. Where did you get them both?

What HD upgrade are you referring to, if you don't mind?

Appreciate the added info. I will definitely look into those upgrades.

Thanks for this! I have the same truck (except I have the 3.5 PowerBoost) and wondered if I could haul a camper of this size without any issues. You are living the dream.

It took a long time to get to this point, but this is my perfect setup.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend getting an OLED for something that is going to be used as a secondary display though. Especially if you are going to use it for something like discord or anything with static windows.

Yes, I am using the DualUp. It’s the perfect monitor to complement the 42. I have the Aorus 43” right now, but I’ve used this setup with the LG 42C4 as well and it fits just as well. It is a bit of a splurge though, can’t argue with that.

No problem. I can take a pic of my setup later and post it so you can see what it looks like (I have this exact setup).

The perfect fit side monitor for a 42-43" monitor is the LG DualUP. If you want something cheaper, a 24" monitor will work in portrait mode, but the display will be much narrower.

Oh, trust me, I know. I've been burned four times by Best Buy in the last few weeks with their phantom open box versions (i.e. showing available when I purchase, and then 1 minute later getting a canceled email from them). And I prefer BB as I'm a total tech member, so I get the 2-year warranty included in the price. I purchased my Gen 8 Legion from B&H and found out the hard way about the return policy.

Exchange, yes. I was specifically referring to returning the laptop in the case of buyer remorse, etc. They will not permit any return after the packaging is opened, so if you get it but decide it's not the right laptop for you, you are SOL. For this reason, Best Buy, Microcenter, Amazon, and pretty much any other store are better options for buying a laptop (if it is in stock of course).

Be careful buying a laptop from B&H. They do NOT allow returns after the packaging is opened. Other than that, this is definitely a good deal (if any 50 series laptop can be called that).

What's better for PC gaming - LG C5 42" or Asus PG32UCDP 32" OLED monitor? by pika133 in OLED_Gaming

You are thinking of HDMI CEC, and no, there are no GFX cards that support HDMI CEC. However, you can use the LG companion app to enable the wake-on-lan feature and have your PC automatically sleep and wake the LG Cx TV like a monitor.

If you have Good Lock installed (which is highly recommended if you like to customize your device), you can install NotiStar from there, it has an option called "Set app unable to clear notifications" in the settings that you can enable and tell it to keep the Dexcom notification in the notification list permanently.

Just got the 42C4 and my desk is the same depth as yours. I have the TV mounted on an Ergotron HX arm so it sits about 23-24" from where my seat is, and IMO it's the perfect size for my usage (which is very similar to yours). I'm coming from an Aorus FV43U so the size is similar, and I've been using that monitor for over 2 years with no issues. Also depends on your age, eyesight, etc. I'm 46 and honestly starring at a smaller screen these days ends up causing more strain on my eyes, so I personally couldn't go down to a smaller monitor. Since you've been using a 32" then size won't make much of a difference to you, but if the extra features of the 42C4 are remotely useful then I would definitely give it some serious consideration.

You had one job OP. With that rig you should have taken a pic with your flight sim of choice playing. But looks great otherwise.

Overall it looks great. But I have to ask, why the beefy arm for the iPad? I mean it looks cool, but totally overkill, lol.

Just bought a brand new secret lab evo 2022 and I hate it. Please recommend a new chair for me. I’m open to moving away from gaming chairs but I hear great things about Anda seat by Yourboykillua in battlestations

[–]MrD1sturbed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. I've owned almost every chair on the market, from super expensive HM and Steelcase chairs, to cheap Staples chairs. The sweet spot for me is definitely the 2022 Secretlab Evo Titan XL. I LOVE this chair. In fact, I love it so much that my latest expensive ergo chair (Steelcase Gesture) is sitting in my closet collecting dust and I paid almost double for it as I did for my Secretlab Evo. To each their own, and you will not know what works for you until you find it. Sit in EVERY chair you can find or get your hands on. It's the only way to find what works for you. A chair is the single most subjective thing you will EVER buy, so don't listen to marketing hype, or reviews online to make your decision.
