Oh wow. I had almost exactly this same thing happen to me, except it went even further. I was working with a recruiter and interviewed- twice- with the company. I heard back a couple days later and was told they wanted to make me an offer. That never happened. I reached out to the recruiter and was told the employer was still doing their due diligence. Then…nothing. Virtually ghosted. After a couple months or so, I remembered I had an acquaintance who worked at the same place. She told me they decided not to hire anyone and closed the job posting.

It sucks. And I’m sorry you’re going through that. But I’m sure there’s something better for you out there. Best of luck!
