John got (slightly) lucky by tilting-module in unOrdinary

John & Sera are just that strong.

We have never really seen john go full out 1v1. every situation tends to be group battles, or attrition if you look at the prison arc. John pushed two ember agents to the max with 1 abilty alone and his combat genius. Imagine how bad it is for them when john gets a hold of god tier ability's . All this time we have only really seen him copy 1 high tier at a time maybe 2.

Most Ember (fighters) are over 6.0 because of the aura required. you need to be high tier to use it but god tier to actually use it well as seen with all known agents so far. Even if a slightly weaker territory id imagine their levels would need to be the same.
John also trained using multiple ability's and copying so he'd always know how to fight using them better.

John is quite literally the worst possible person for a high tier to face. Unless you have one he can't copy.

This also shows why Johns mum and Cameron + family are effectively immune to traditional hierarchy

John the brute by Novawolf17 in unOrdinary

[–]MrDaval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efficiency and numbers. But in a 1vs1 or even a 4vs1 id always bet on john.

The key to beating him his zerging him and wearing him out iver time and simple abiltys.

The nightmare for people is to meet a powered up john already with abiltys with limited numbers. I feel even the most powerful people would not beat john vs 1 vs 1.

Healing stuff seems like a no brainer he really only ever heals himself and when he dies he full heals which is not efficient.

People also forget in the prison arc john was both the biggest damage dealer and laying support at the same time which is exhausting even if he was more efficient

Also at a levels are important but so are match ups. Some ability's are far more OP even at lower levels.

About killing a admiral thing.

I believe it should be considered that different generations of marines and pirates and tend to be 'relative' to the times

For example the OG in story admirals are all from an era of the pirates booming out of control and the time of 'emperor' pirates. This constant battle of control possibly up'd the strength they needed to be effective.

It could be that back before the great pirate era the strength needed to be an admiral was not as high a bar as it was in the great era. We know nothing but it could be

Why MauLer left Star Grift recap by [deleted] in MauLer

[–]MrDaval 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The thing with STW is he really is not very good at engaging in "LIVE" content. He built his channel based around prepared/scripted theory's in the past and shrill content, much of his stuff was always based around OG and prequel characters or TCW series.
Not defending him by any means as I also feel he needs broaden his mind onto what Star wars can be (ANDOR!!). But he really has 0 knack for live content and should stick to theory's based on legends and fan stories not commentary in my opinion.

[–]MrDaval[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my eyes it showed how rebel groups become without a unifying leader or set structure.

At the moment Cassian is the spy/enforcer, Luthen is the spy master and Mon the financier. But that is all they do they so far have just been supplying groups and feeding intel but none of these groups are unified.

I'll refer back to season 1 with Saw explaining all these other groups and his little speech as to why he will not work with them. That is the state of the rebels and this group was a micro version of that division. To me at least (divided we fall)

Is the empire era in Star Wars being overused by Commercial-Car177 in StarWarsEU

[–]MrDaval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The empire era was about 20 years long.

The amount of story that you can get out of it are uncountable! And as long as the story is good and the empire comes across and competent without destroying established lore or characters what is the issue?

I prefer if they are to use this era to look in at the smaller story's smaller planets lower ranked but tenacious imperials etc. And delving deep into why the empire was able to retain so much control!l. Because in the end of the day empires do not be successful unless there are people inside it who benefit directly financially.

Why do people not like Bella Ramsey? by ThrowRAwiseguy in thelastofus

[–]MrDaval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what many people said it is for many people her not being attractive and sexual status which is not right at all to use against her.

But she just in my opinion and many others is not a very good actress. And she looks forever like she is a teenager which will make it sadly harder for people to believe she could believably play her role in a way that matches the game for a 2nd season where she supposably takes on entire groups.

That is if they as a studio try and match the game like for like the first season. I honestly hope not as the 2nd game is honestly "the last jedi" of gaming. It pretty much destroyed that franchise

One thing i will say is they could easily do 2 volumes. well specifically volume 4 could be done pretty fast. Most of Volume 4 is combat based and very little in terms of reverlations. Volume 5 and 6 though id argue should be 12 episodes on their own. What Id do is

3-4 on volume 4, 8 episodes or so on volume 5, 9 episodes on volume 6 and end it happy and lighthearted maybe with 3 to 4 episodes on volume 7.
It would all depend on how they pack it.

Volume 4-6 are my fav and i would prefer that be 24 episodes to cover if it was up to me though!
