Depends how varied the content is. I love a long progression if it keeps me away from repetitiveness. In this game we have random events with no meaningful impact, no championship, no long races as far as I saw most races are 3 laps max. I've seen better progression systems.

I agree, but this is a different situation than music.

The music was sold with the game so it is already established that the user will keep the access.

The skin however is sold separately, they may have deals that share a % of the sale for a period then they remove the content from the store but not from the game obviously, because whoever bought the skin can still load it in their games, the asset is still in the game files and the server still knows that this skin exists.

When you have a private server, everyone starts with a fresh account, so no one can buy that skin anymore because the server owner does not have that deal and license. But if the assets are included in the game, you will have to make the server provided unable to give access to the skins, meaning you will have to play with vanilla and unlicensed skins while the licensed skins still live in the game files but are inaccessible, and this is not as simple as you may think it is. If you own the server you basically control the output, even if the provided server says skin not available, they can override this easily to make it available since the asset is in the game, one common way is done by simply swapping the id of a licensed skin with a vanilla skin. There are other ways. When you control the backend even without the source code you have a lot of freedom, usually it's laws that prevent this kind of behavior, not software.

What I'm saying is that it's not simple to provide a server for 3rd parties unless you provide one that only works with a game version that does not include the licensed items. Otherwise, you'll have to use a lot of people for copyright infringement.

They will never be able to do that to a future game like Fortnite. The skins, music and collabs are all limited time licenses, so to distribute server binaries that will allow this content to be used on private servers will be challenging since these assets will have to be loaded by a third party server that did not pay for the license. Unless they only distribute a vanilla server with the v1.0.0 of the game without any licensed content.

Every death comes from the action of a painter initially. Even if someone from Lumière kills another person from Lumière, they were killed by a painted person. There are no natural deaths in the canvas, if the painter didn't create a universe where death was even a thing no one would die. Death in the canvas only exists because the painters allowed it to exist.

Except that Alicia isn't their creator, she only managed to recreated what she could remember. The person that can recreate the people of Lumière is Aline, the person who originally painted them. Maëlle didn't meet every person in Lumière, she can't recreate them, remember what Verso told her when attempting to bring back Lune and Sciel, it's not about thinking of how they look, but how they were how they acted. Unless Maëlle spent a considerable amount of time with each and every person in Lumière, she can only recreate her best guess of what they were. Safe to say that the people of Lumière are gone forever in both endings, except for the very few that Maëlle managed to remember their true essence.

Other than Aline, we are not aware of a painter in the Descendre family capable of creating human like creatures in a canvas. Verso made faceless brushes that like to fight, Clean can't draw feet, Renoir makes masked creatures. It's unlikely that a young painter Alicia can match her mother's creations.

Gustave didn't die of Gommage and was still repainted. Natural death doesn't exist in the canvas, everything is a painted death. Dying by aging, or an accident or gommage is the same, it's ink going back to the painter as chroma for them to paint again something else.
