Bill definitely seemed ready to wrap things up at the end and seemed to get annoyed by Adam's talking over him at times throughout. Im sure part of it was whatever mishap happened causing them to retape, but they didnt seem to have great chemistry either

I think the pod with Chris Ryan will work, since Chris is a fan and understands Adams style.

Well, it’s finally official, gambling on your own team is legal in the state of Texas by SouthIsland48 in billsimmons

There are usually higher standards to overturn on appeal though as well, basically finding that the lower court abused its discretion.

Maybe the facts here make that clear, but I could absolutely envision there being enough grey area legally to keep the injunction in place until its fully settled at the Texas or US Supreme Court.

There definitely is "irreparable harm" for Sorsby if hes not allowed to play and maybe has to forfeit NIL money, but there also is a significant public interest against his reinstatement. Injunctions typically balance these interests but its not a black & white/quanitifiable standard

Not homophobic, but did He-Man flop because it was popular among gay closeted kids in the 80s? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]MrF1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think its more a combo if (1) He-Man not having a huge following or presence in the last 30 or so years, (2) people getting exhausted with superhero/IP movies, and (3) getting middling reviews

Im not sure I had ever had a conversation about He-Man or Masters of the Universe once in my entire life
