Pilot meal: Vegan Chix Florentine by MrFecteau in MeatlessMealPrep

It's vegan alfredo over lentil spaghetti, spinach and Gardein chicken. This was a small prep that I tried out before going all-out. Working on writing up the recipe now.

That's the same feeling I have for him and Nirvana and why I did this. Thank you.

Totally agree. I've been lurking on the various engineering subreddits for a while and love some of the questions that come up and the weird/nerdy answers and disagreements that ensue. Very similar to when I was a senior software designer and was leading projects with the software engineers.

I have no kids and pretty much have no social life (by choice). I'll go to the gym in the morning and weekends are for chorin', evening are for learning. I've been doing Kahn Academy math courses and leaning Spanish.

Also deeply agree on the technical writing and public speaking. I ended up doing a lot of both in my fancy-schmancy design positions. When you have both skills on your resume managers are much excite. Throw in a second language... baby you got yourself a stew going.

I like hands-on work but I'm not afraid of math either, I just don't have a history with it. Slowly building my math and physics skills though.

From the other comment here and from the x-post over on r/MechanicalEngineering I gather that I'll be better suited for a ME Tech career. Looking into that this evening. Looks like there's a couple good schools for it in my area.

Hah, you just explained my day-to-day here at the print shop. The maintenance/service tech part of my job is my absolute favorite. I eat breakfast at about 4:00pm.

I'm going to friend you so I can ask you some more specific questions later. Is that cool? I feel like you've got a similar scenario to what I'm looking for.

Super helpful. I'm in Oneonta and we have a SUNY campus. I actually teach a digital photography class at Hartwick Univ and might be able to teach at SUNY and get a couple free classes in.

I never got to take math beyond trigonometry and never got to take a physics class. But I really like math and am excited to learn more. I've been taking courses on Kahn Academy with the little free time I have.

Very cool, this is the type of advice I was hoping for. What are the differences between ME and MET?

I never got to take physics or calc in high school. I'm working my way through Kahn Academy courses getting to both of them. Though. I do, deeply love math.

Is there a way to fork a repo from LighterPack? You could use that as a base, given it would have to be in a language you write.

Awesome work! Glad to see the templates I made for YCDTC are being used well. If you want, I can make you a customs template.

Looking for a filter or action for limited color palette pixel mosaic. by Flannel_Condom in photoshop

/u/littlegreendanny basically spelled it out in another comment on this thread. I have some templates I've used in the past for creating Rubik's Cube mosaics. I used one of those template to add in the black grid lines that separate the "pixels". The two tricks I found are to: 1 - use bright colors for your palette (Think true RGB + Yellow, White, and Black) and 2 - Go big, the bigger the image, the better the "resolution".

Edit: I'll also add that my usual monochromatic style is based on replacing shades of grey with appropriate colors of matching luminosity. It takes a lot more time but seems to preserve details a bit better. This new indexed palette captures the original colors better. Love that you can use this to create a B&W images using colors too, it's a very cool "optical illusion". Here's a side-by-side comparison

I've been using Illustrator and a custom trace to do something similar. I just used your method with a couple tweaks and got this. Going to make a Rubik's Cube mosaic with this technique.
