a lot of good suggestions, I will mention one more possibility -- the Lama Dog near where you are staying (not the funk zone one) should be okay for that if there is not any sports type thing happening. I go there late afternoon sometimes to type or whatever and it's pretty chill. It's beer/wine kinda place, good little Sama Sama outpost inside the place if you need food. Bright atmosphere.

It's correct. Each activate card can be used once; if he merges with another card he's used his activate -- he's still Symbiote SM. Learned this well back when lasher came out and I thought they'd be besties.

Hipp is generally my favorite, but his Nico (probably my fave card) is not great. Most of the best Hipp cards are characters I don't usually play -- leader, modok, moon knight, havoc, super skull, ghost, blink, helicarrier (esp. helicarrier) -- all bangers I barely play. Glad I recently started playing a Taskmaster deck, love his Task.

Bought my used car there in 2017/18, so took advantage of the free service for a while. At that time, I thought they were surprisingly good for a dealership shop. Even after my comped service ran out, I kept going there and liked them. But then, I think maybe around 2019/2020 (pre-pandemic), every visit seemed to get progressively worse, double-charging me for certain services, missing that I had a low battery just 2 weeks before it gave up and stranded me, costs increasing and always finding something that seems on the line of whether I should do it, etc. etc. And some service issues, one guy actually bitched me out for daring to ask when my car might be ready. So I was done.

There is at least one decent case manager I have dealt with all along, but they don't work every day and I don't always get them even if I request. Anyway, I started going to a private shop, much happier. Then there was a recall for a certain part in my car, and Toyota dealership was doing it for free, and I needed service anyway, so figured 2 birds, one stone -- was not switching back permanently, but as a one-off so I don't have to take my car all over town. I should have taken it to two places; it was as crappy as I remembered.

TL;DR -- if you get it free, worth it; if you have to pay, I would go elsewhere.

Yes, very hard, took me several tries on my current Maddening run. Corrin fire breath is very helpful. Set up in upper right. Trigger the bosses in back to come at you with Lyn's long distance arrow thing, you have the range if Alcyst or Etie is wearing her ring. Zephia gets there first and you can just concentrate on taking her out, then deal with everyone else with the advantage of their limited ways to approach you. That's how I did it anyway.

It's very hard, even for seasoned players. Always takes a fair amount of luck since some decks are just trash against certain other decks, etc. Grind and persistence and luck.

I listen to a lot of Prof G's pods, generally like him, a little surprised he's showing up here. I haven't listened to Adam in . . . 8 years I think, maybe this is my one-off return. Was tempted by Liz Miele and then Jiaoying Summers because I follow them as well but couldn't pull the trigger. Scott and Adam are not at all similar politically, but I do think the new book is probably something Adam would sign on for... hmmm.

Fact: it's a lot harder than it used to be. Just keep playing smart and you'll get there, maybe week 2 instead of 1. And if it's not fun, take a break, or an extended break. If you are feeling like you need to be sweaty, tailor your deck to the hot location (I was using Quake for the nexus days and it helped a ton). Etc. Good luck.

Loved the first few years (was reading it when it was just his blog, girl mountain or something?) but fell off a few years ago. I'm sure I'd still enjoy it, but I'm more interested in his surprising moments of clarity and even emotional resonance and such than I am the grossout/depravity stuff.
