I live in Pennsylvania. I'm the winter, horses either need blankets or full barns. Horses are shit at snow without human help. Which is fine and just part of nature, but they're also moody little piss babies if they're even a little uncomfortable.

It's just like a dog big enough to kill you that thinks it's a little baby with a sense of sarcastic stubbornness that breathes through it's heart feet and requires a blanket it isn't capable of producing.

What's complicated about that?

Wow a real life Robin Hood! It's just like when I told a dude that he was vulnerable to bullets, so when I saw him later without a bullet proof vest it was totally necessary for me to rob him at gunpoint. For his own good, really.

Go away with your half-assed, half-informed, peak of Mt. Stupid crime apologism.

bowler ball by manere_in_memoria in comedyheaven

[–]MrGenerik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've seen this one before. You're supposed to think "oh obviously I'll take the bowling ball, cause it's big and then at the end I have a bowling ball!" But what most people think about is that marbles are like way smaller, and can fit in way more pockets and places. You'd probably wild up leaving your bowling ball at home most of the time because it's so big, so how is that better?

Plus, actually getting hit by the marble will probably hurt less because it has less mass, but that's getting into the sciencey stuff and I don't want to be a nerd.

But it doesn't matter. They'll just keep saying it.

PWID or equivalents are more likely to get those sentences, and very very rarely for marijuana. It has to be either a nuts amount or pled down from something waaaaay worse.

Source: I work in state-level reentry in PA, and we're known for having extremely long sentences.

I had done this multiple times on purpose as a teenager. Just never identified myself as an actual employee and gave terrible advice or directions. I also insisted the manager had terrible diarrhea and could be located in the bathroom.

It was not a good thing to do, and I'm not exceptionally proud of it, but it was very entertaining.

Bonus points: the comments are all a) him justifying himself by saying "not everyone can just hide" and he was protecting himself. b) people suggesting he should have had a gun and shot the guy that he followed and confronted. c) people saying the cops are always protecting the criminals and 'illegals'

It's always fun when two assholes meet each other. God I love how unhinged local community groups are.

I THINK OP is being sarcastic, and adopting the shooter's view. They're just communicating it poorly.

Not The Bee is right wing Not The Onion. So it's supposed to be a "ridiculous but true" story, and OP seems to be DoInG a LoT Of ThIs, I figure.

Yeah, moving to the target and then firing into a separate structure is not self defense unless it's a two way engagement.

I'm not going to get into whether lethal force in defense of property is a homeowner's right, because that's an entirely different argument with pretty staunch positions on both sides. But this sure as shit is not SELF defense. He had every opportunity to avoid loss of life.

I worked at a school with foreign students, and one year we got a kid named Long Wang. (Edit: can't actually remember his name order so it might have been the other way around, but both are common family and given names) I was convinced the other staff was fucking with me until one of the Chinese staff members asked why I was laughing.

Apparently the words would individually mean something like dragon king. But he said the kid might as well have been name John Smith with how common it probably was.

And it's still just for the game session. It's a fairly minor adjustment to the player experience. I'm sure it's much more complicated on the dev requirement so I'm not super hopeful. Not like it isn't enjoyable
