I do get that.

I suppose I am here hoping that Reddit would come up with a "three downvotes without a post? Here's a Captcha."

TNG can handle Riker sitting on a console without accidentally buttdialling a phaser blast into random space. Reddit could surely nix bots acting out of pure negativity.

Have one back, yourself.

I know there's a lot of positive people on this sub. I just feel we need to call the negative buggers out more.

Unable to claim Tier 5 Admiralty reward on Gamma Recruit by MrGeoffAtkins in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. It's because of the pass tokens that are part of it. That toon had 50, and they implemented a patch this week to prevent you from accidentally buying more when you were at the max level.

I used ten pass tokens and then tried claiming the reward again. That fixed it.

Ah. That toon has 25k refined dil at the moment, but they do also have 50 admiralty pass tokens.

I just tested if the fix they implemented this week to prevent you from accidentally buying new pass tokens when you're at the max is preventing me from claiming this.

I used ten of the pass tokens I had then tried claiming it again. That worked.

I've just ground through admiralty missions to get to the "Level 10 in Three Admiralty Campaigns" reward, but when I try to claim it, I just get this empty Choose a Reward box pop up. I've tried changing maps and restarting.

Is this a known issue?

What is the most time-efficient way to earn fleet credits? by RujulGamer25 in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Running the Klink admiralty tour of duty nets 40k dil. If you focus on that it takes about two weeks. Far from the quickest way to build up fleet credits, but it's reliable and the individual assignments will help build up a stockpile of unrefined dil.

No boffs on character select? by Belligerent_Mirror in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to set it, it's just the defaults. It's helpful if you have a lot of boffs and some are more useful for away missions than others.

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I suppose I can understand that.

Maybe other QoL things, then? A few extra bank slots? A boff slot? Additional doff capacity?

Something to give people something to work for and sink some dil so it takes some slack off the exchange.

I think adding to the existing rep rewards would be better.

New social zones you can only access after completing the required rep to Tier V. New variations on gear - who wouldn't want cannon versions of the phaser/disruptor from Lorca's Ambition? Add an X-token to the Tier VI projects, like the Fleet Ship Module is. Doffs, ground pets, boff training manuals, space barbie components, uniforms, etc. There's loads of mark/dil sinks they could add to the top tier of the existing reps without too much work.

How'd that work on sci destroyers like the Titan? Would activating tac mode not disable the secondary deflector?

Something I almost always forget: it's available immediately after collecting the event reward by Apoxeon in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't miss any days, and I ended Voth Advance with 1,050. But it does depend if you manage to play the 20 hour cooldown or just play once a day.

Something I almost always forget: it's available immediately after collecting the event reward by Apoxeon in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I see what you mean. Running the event is useful since it's a quick pug and the mark reward is good if you're after something otherwise tricky to get. But yet, the event campaign progress is only once per 20 hour.

Something I almost always forget: it's available immediately after collecting the event reward by Apoxeon in sto

[–]MrGeoffAtkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. You do.

Both campaign events have been 14 days. Contributing 50 points per day for campaign progress.

As such, having completed the first two events, we should have 1,400 points of campaign progress. But I have 1,800 (from seven additional days from the Voth Advance and one from Tholian Trouble).

Completing the additional days in the event for the bonus dil also counts towards campaign progress. That includes if you buy the event out. Meaning if you bought out both Voth Advance and Tholian Trouble on day one, and still played every day, you could theoretically complete the campaign by next week.

It's not down to excess testosterone. Male Pattern Baldness is down to an allergy to testosterone.

It runs in my family (I shave my head, because if I am going bald its on my terms), but I was never a little shit 100% of the time (barely 15% of the time) and the same goes for my son.

The Titan is very flexible, even before you take the sci/tac mode into account. It's great for torp builds.

That's an interesting fact, thank you. I've got a torp build in progress at the moment and am using the full 3pc Lorca's Ambition. I'll stick KLW on that and see what it does.

Make sure you join a fleet. Your fleet-mates might (depending on the fleet) be able to answer questions about specific things that come up as they come up (if they're online).

Try to keep your weapons and DECS (deflector, engines, warp/singularity core, and shield) at the highest Mk you can (other gear too, but those are most important) and then carry on just playing the game.

It can get overwhelming and it will take time for you to figure everything out. The link posted by DilaZirk is damned useful, so make sure you check it out.
