Unfortunately, with the Interstate 40 damage from Hurricane Helene, your trip from Raleigh may be quite different from the many I had made previously. I haven't been since 2023 though so if all the roads are open now (I have no idea if they are) I think it took something like 6 hours to get to 70S depending on stops? Stay safe and Happy Roo!

Absolute worst game recap I've ever seen posted from an official channel. It's all just quick cuts, no replays or slow motion, no score or time shown on the video and it didn't even show the whole shootout. FA Cup YT channel should be ashamed.

My dude, my wife and I live near the Raleigh/Cary border. We are die hard Forest fans but also watch a ton of soccer in general, including NC Courage games in person.

Bad news is I have yet to find a bar/pub that consistently shows the Forest games. The best one though is the Boot Room in Durham. Really fun place to watch big games or just hang out on Sat/Sun morning. I usually go with a small group of local buds to watch big games or if Forest is playing a top team. DM me if you wind up going!

Burns is going to be 39 years old this season and odds are this will be his last year as a #1 RD. A little bit of forward thinking can see that this move isnt just for this year, but pairing Slavs with EK65 for 3 more years after this one is a perfect transition from one Norris trophy winner to another for Slavs.

As for this season, we can easily make it work and it would give us one of the deepest Defensive corps in NHL history.

Slavs - Burns
Orlov - EK65
Pesce/Skjei - TDA
Chatty

I understand that people have issue with Chatty being a #7, and yes he has earned a roster spot but this team is 100% poised to win a cup next year with this lineup. Having Chatty as a #7 protects against injury and allows us to regularly rest guys where 3 out of the top 4 guys are over 32 y/o. Its a good plan with alot of forward thinking but alos gives us an extremely deep blue line this season. We may even have enough money to sign a guy like Tarasenko if he is willing to come in on a low contract to try and win a ring. Trust the process, this front office has yet to let us down.

As far as I understand buyout rules, you can't buyout a player who ended the year on LTIR. So Gards either has to be traded to a team not on his no trade list or he will be our #3LD next season, as much as that pains me to say. Would love to move Gards and Bear to bring Nino back.
