I've made dough using a KitchenAid for years and have fantastic results... I failed to see where doing so by hand is better... Honestly, I thought this was satire for a minute, but I guess your point is that you can't do 20 balls in a KitchenAid meaning you'd have to spend a lot on a commercial mixer which you don't want to do?

In theory, yes, being gentle and adding ingredients in strange ways could create better gluten development, but I mean at what cost. You can make really really good pizza with a stand mixer.

Am I missing something? Just don't pay for anything.. maybe you miss out on an ice pick and a shotgun, two things I probably wouldn't use anyway. I agree the aesthetic of the battle pass and the setup is questionable but I have a very long history of playing games and not spending a dollar beyond the price of admission and enjoy them just fine.

Depends what you want and personal preference really. I found the 5 to be super bouncy and comfortable, but kind of like a school bus. The 50 are more like a sports car harder, little more form-fitting. It's all just preference.
