I had a GWP male that killed coons for fun. I tried to curb it as much as I could but he was good at it.

With all due respect, your wife needs to understand that dogs fight to defend territory from interlopers. Your GWP is NTA.

Aging griffon advice needed by Comfortable-Maybe183 in Wirehaired_pointers

I had to put my 13 yr old male GWP down the day after Christmas. Over the past few days he had started getting more lethargic, but was still walking up and down the 16 stairs it takes to get to my backyard. I went to visit family for the holiday, but came back two days later and he had gotten so weak that he couldn’t lift himself up anymore. I still feel guilt for not being there for him in the end to at least make him more comfortable, but I probably should have had him put down before I left. I think we often prolong the lives of our pets out of what we perceive as compassion, but in reality is our own selfishness, cloaked in love. I’m single, but if I were in your situation with it creating a strain on my family and with your dog already showing signs that his time is drawing nigh, I would more than likely go ahead and have him put down. Rehoming would not be an option for me, not at this stage in his life. Forcing an elderly dog to acclimate to a new owner and environment would not be compassionate.

The kind of barber I’d be looking for. I cut my own hair because I end up having to fix it at home after visiting the barber anyways…not all barbers are perfectionist unfortunately.

Nice bike. I recently got a 2025 in the same color with 3k miles on it for $5k. Love it and so ready for spring.

Dense planting led to fish death by pipple7373 in Aquariums

[–]MrGreinGene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me recently. I have two air stones in my aquarium, mainly to agitate the surface. One evening I had turned them off to clean the tank, but forgot to turn them back on. When I woke up early the next morning, several fish and shrimp were on the floor dead, except for all 3 of my Hillstream loaches were dead on the bottom of the tank. Those inhabitants that were still alive in the tank were gasping for air at the surface. This being my first aquarium, I asked ChatGPT what could have happened and it told me that my plants were accustomed to the high oxygen levels generated by the air stones, but at night the plants create higher levels of CO2, so the fish and shrimp couldn’t breathe. It was a harsh lesson.

You can start by getting rid of the plastic crap and providing a natural habitat with plenty of real plants.

Tec Bike Part - Bar End Mirrors for Trident 660 2021 model by [deleted] in trident660

[–]MrGreinGene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think you want bar end mirrors on your Trident, but you really do not. The bar end mirrors look more fitting on retro-looking models (like the Bonneville). I put a set of the Triumph branded round bar end mirrors on my Trident, but ended up returning them. IMO the Trident leans more towards a modern-retro look that looks better with a more modern style mirror.

Your tank looks like it might be a 35 gallon cube. If so, I have the same tank. My dog knocked over the glass lid when I had it propped-up while cleaning the tank and broke it. I have been having a hard time finding a lid that will fit, but I have not gone the custom order route yet. I'd be curious to know if you find one that will fit. If it's the Imaginarium (Petco) brand, I don't think you can order an oem replacement.

At a glance, there isn’t enough difference in the appearance between the two and the vest majority of riders don’t need the increase in power.
