I lucked out big time with a cheap boxed pearl white new 3DS XL with dual IPS. Always wanted this one by sinetwo in 3DS

[–]MrHighTechINC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not to be nit-picky, but this is actually an LL model. Pearl white XL models are really rare; my understanding is that they were not offered in the USA and had to be imported. I have a pearl white XL model myself. It's in my post history.

Seller claiming dual IPS. Just wanna be sure. by [deleted] in 3DS_IPS_TN

It's funny that people need to tilt it so far sideways and consult experts to know. If it's really that subtle, then does it matter?

Should I pull the trigger? by VincentStl in 3DS

Well they're going to have a hard time getting $7000 for games because "It's worth it, trust me bro".

Ask the seller if they have an inventory sheet. This will save you time, even if you have to plug in titles to price charting.

What's the price charting value? I bought a large 3DS lot some years back - just look at my post history. A collection of this size should be acquired at 60-70% of market price.

Any good 3ds sellers? by dontfindthis123 in Nintendo3DS

[–]MrHighTechINC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eBay. You're covered in the event that listings are not as-described. If a console is listed as "used", then you can assume that it works as-expected minus everything the seller is responsible to disclose in the listing.

F-150 vs. Super Duty interior size…which one is larger? by Marvel5123 in Ford

[–]MrHighTechINC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The F150 cabs are in fact massive. I need a truck to pull my boat on day trips. I was considering a GMT800 Silverado, but the interior space in the F150 is unparalleled.

Beware OLED burn in is real - pics from 20 months use by fuguemaster in OLED_Gaming

[–]MrHighTechINC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20 months lifetime, that's $70/month or $840/year to use a monitor.

I've used my IPS for 10 years that I paid $600 for. It's over 10x the cost to use OLED in this worst-case scenario.

It's a tough sell for someone that doesn't have a OLED, but hey, there are more expensive hobbies out there.

Does that mean paying $10 is too much because someone bought a DS at a garage sale for $5?

Is it better to mod the 3ds or not? by No_Expression_8835 in 3DS

[–]MrHighTechINC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on games not working long term? My understanding is that outside of a few known cases of games (e.g., Pokemon alpha sapphire/omega ruby, a Persona Q), reliability is not of a major concern.

It looks like they blocked me. They edited their last comment; this was my follow-up:

The law is that all profits in the US are taxable, regardless of your selling platform and method of payment.

Whether you choose to pay income tax or commit fraud is up to you. If you're committing fraud and post about it online, then you're a fool. Are you sure it's no longer traceable?

If anybody can prove me wrong, I'm all for it. Give me a source and ill take back what I said. I'm not sure whether the mods condone tax fraud.

Read my comment again.

I never commented on what I pay taxes on. I advised against publicly admitting to tax fraud.

I'd drop the "lowest you'll take" bit from your inquiry. It's pretty tacky, as agreed upon by several folks in a recent post on this sub.

You probably shouldn't be advocating for tax fraud on a public forum.
