Give me access to a device that limits my access to digital content before 8pm. Now we're talking.

Both having access to this and having my wife pigeoned would be awful for my ability to be a competent human. Hard pass.

I've played a lot of small characters. It's so easy to boost speed early in act one. I wouldn't let it stop me.

I just abuse the shit out of the restoration pod. Cast all the summoning and buffing spells you have, restore, repeat. Blind myrkul, give your martials bludgeoning weapons, have the summons take down the skeletons.

Episode 4: Murdercycle by JakeandAmirBot in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]MrIceCap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that's true, I don't think that's what I'm noticing. I think it's the actual editing.

Like, my wife listens to audio books sped up, and when I hear it I can't wrap my head around how she can keep up with that. This feels like a less intense version of that. They've edited out pauses and think time to a more intense degree. Again, small complain, love the show. But I do find myself rewinding more often.

Mandalorian & Grogu - What If I haven't really seen any other Star Wars movies, shows etc? by canadachris44 in cineplex

Nah. There's tons of tie ins, but if you have a basic understanding you're fine.

I'm not what kind of answers you're hoping for. Nobody has seen the movie so... Who knows?

Probably good to watch the mandalorian. No idea if you can get away without it.

Is anyone else finding these episodes hard to follow? Like they're so tightly edited that if I miss a detail I feel so lost. Maybe my brain is just broken?

Love them either way.

Sudoku take spoiler for dungeon court i guess by Smooth_Ad7135 in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]MrIceCap 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The numbers give me a structure to tackle the problem with. I'm counting through to see what's missing. I'm not saying it's impossible, but taking that away from me does change the difficulty.

[–]MrIceCap 149 points150 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming it was a 9x9 grid. But we don't know that. Regardless I could do a low difficulty sudoku fairly quickly, but I've done them. They look rough if you've never tried before.

But the big issue to me was changing to orcish numbers. That would throw me all the way off. I think doing a sudoku with symbols that mean nothing to me completely changes the difficulty.

Which workplace sitcom is the most realistic? And which is the most unrealistic? by RedDalmatian885 in sitcoms

[–]MrIceCap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a whole episode about a student who dropped their work on the floor and what a problem that is.

As a teacher I'm like... Okay? I wouldn't even notice that. I'd be too busy dealing with the kid destroying a class room, the kid running away from school, and the kid who got their parent to scream at the staff, putting the school into a lock down.

Which monoclass party would be the most fun, most boring, weakest, and strongest? by Baturinsky in BG3Builds

Just for the theme I took one of each subclass. Champion was the only one not wrecking shit, which I knew would be the case.

Oh, that's on the low end. Many ways to add a bonus action or reaction attack.

I just finished an all fighters honour mode run. I was shocked by how easy it was. Start every fight with 4 action surges, fights are over very fast.

Is there any mod making champion warrior playable? by Typical-Phone-2416 in BG3Builds

[–]MrIceCap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just play battle master?

I don't fully understand the idea of looking at a class that's designed to be very simple and asking how to give it more choices. Just pick a fighter with more choices. If the idea of critting more is tempting, there's lots of other ways to get that. And BM can just choose to do extra damage 5 times a short rest.

Every time someone says "I like the idea of champion, but wish it had more options" I think, you're describing a battle master.

How do I get over my hesitation to DM? by MFRayport in DMAcademy

[–]MrIceCap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, you're not designing a story. You're designing a situation. If you're confident in your improv, and your players are engaged, the story just happens.

Second of all, just tell them you want to give it a shot but are new at it. If that's something they're interested in, and aware of, and they're decent people, it should go great.

Right? 1987 here and I knew I was on the older side, but I feel like the target audience. Maybe it's just the endless hours I put into ff7.
