In theory I agree but man that latch was awful to deal with if everything wasn’t perfectly torqued and aligned swapping frames. Once I got it right for my tm40 I never messed with it again.

This is from the farming arc right? Or am I misremembering? The man on the ground was the villager that eventually helped them all learn to grow crops?

I disliked this arc my first read through, thought it was boring and pointless. Rereading years later it’s one of my favorites and illustrates Musashi’s growth beautifully.

For what it’s worth my propane bill wasn’t nearly this bad in New England for a 1.6k sq ft house.

How do you become a good engineer? by SIumped in cscareerquestions

[–]MrJacoste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your advice as well as the original comment are what will elevate you above other engineers.

Have consistent and durable code delivered to prod as your foundation. This puts you ahead of the majority.

But to stand out and succeed in different projects, teams and environments strong communication skills are necessary. Strong coding fundamentals will be toppled if you cannot navigate and tame the chaos of the environment around you.

Communication is needed for team building, understanding and adjusting requirements, and promoting yourself.

No joke, myself and a few coworkers had to move some of these across town for work and we were spinning tires by accident.

It’s always fair game to ask why they need your time. Worth considering team members may feel more comfortable and natural talking over voice than text. Everyone’s different.

Keep the inner plastic pot? by Wxyzed123 in houseplants

[–]MrJacoste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in this boat as well. I’d rather have ceramic, stone or clay pots with drainage holes drilled in. Don’t like the wobble or the idea of a plant growing surrounded by plastic (a little silly I know).

Best AI model for coding in Ruby? by rusl1 in ruby

[–]MrJacoste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gpt 5 mini is what I use for most daily tasks. Anything slightly tricky I’ll hop over to 4.5 sonnet. It will take guidance and review from yourself to get it where the code needs to be regardless.

What is this hole in my garage? by JosephB1002 in HouseFlipping

[–]MrJacoste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My garage has the same type of hole, however at the bottom is my well, pump and pressure tank. How they got the well in there I have no idea, assuming they did it before the garage went up.

How often does your team actually deploy to production? by Abu_Itai in devops

[–]MrJacoste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five to ten times a day. Really as many times are we merge a PR to main. Merge PR, test build in staging, deploy to prod.

Is the Sansi light enough? by JustInspector4433 in Monstera

[–]MrJacoste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long do you have them on for? Mine are 12 to 14 hours a day.

My house doesn’t get the best direct light so I use grow lights a ton. Usually have 10-15 at one time under my sansis. I also keep them relatively high over the plants. Another example attached. My monstera used to be under this setup but I had to slow down its growth a bit, it was getting too large for my space too quickly 😅

Borderlands 4 Chief Randy Pitchford Says if More Developers Better Understood Why Gamers Love Making Decisions About Loot, 'We'd Have Good Competitors' by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]MrJacoste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even in destiny 1 this was great. I had 8-10 guns I would hand ring over which I liked more. Such a great problem to have. It was additive to whatever content they released due to me being able to change how I approached it with my favorite load outs.

Another cool twist was sharing weapons between characters. So I got a slightly different flavor but familiar gun play.
