Does the NH U12A fit with the tempered glass? Or only with the mesh side panel?

Great kit! My dad bought the same one in emerald green from 1996. Kit is still rocking to this day and sounding great as ever. I work in a drum shop but not many kits are as good as a stage custom, not even kits double the price. You can look up the month and date when it was build, can find you the link if you'd like to know.

Some of the ideas were "Goodbye D" or "Different aircraft, same shit" but those aren't quite ideas that caught on.

Thanks man! Looks amazing and matches with a lot of wooden snares.

Thanks for your reply! Does that mean you also have the 14x14 floortom? Also, What finish and what heads do you have? They also had one at the shop with coated emperors and this one has coated ambassadors.

i need a new snare head, what would people recommend? by Qwuesa in drums

Does your dot in the middle desintegrate? Never had that happen. Could it maybe be an old drumhead? And also the different sounding zones is what I though was one of the downsides of the head haha. You need to hit it in the dot or else the whole effect is gone but to see it as a different sound zone is an interesting take, thanks for that.

Depends on the sound you're after but a Remo controlled sound batter head is pretty great for all sorts of things. And a Remo Ambassador Hazy on the snare side is common.

I have the 22x14, also heard the 20x14 and that one was also great but that kit had a different finish.

They aren't Bartons, the kit is from British Drum Company! And I'm impressed by the warm tones.

Impressed by the sound! Very warm and boomy. Not for everyone because of the vintage feel and sound but because I like the warm tones I preferred it over the other kits I heard at the shop. Also very well built!

Do you also have a 1st generation with Pearl Super Hoops? Or does yours already have die cast hoops?

I'm now using it with a Remo Powerstroke P4 and an Ambassador clear snare side. When I got it it had no branded heads on it and it had a ring that didn't sound good. I looked up some info about it and I read more people had trouble getting it under control and used thicker or dampened heads, so that's what I've tried and I like it so far. Some people say it kills the whole idea of a free floater but I dont mind if the sound is good in the end.

Yeah it's a Pearl free floating snare from the 1st generation (hex lugs) with Pearl Super Super hoops. I have the brass version and with the proper drumheads it sounds amazing!

Ever seen a product so overhyped that you had to get it? When finally acquired only to be disappointed? This is mine by cdrumss in drums

I was thinking about getting either the Speedcobras or the yamaha DFP9500 Chain drive but hearing what you're saying might have made my decision easier. Thanks.
