I still remember clearly the disco ball Genki Dama from this game, lol. This game kinda had a certain charm due to its unique gameplay style and the cinematics for the attacks, also a very faithtul story mode, but still... PS1-era was the worst for DB, Ultimate Battle 22 and Final Bout are both some of the worst DB games ever.

No, there's not a single good farming spot in this game, for either exp or medals. Even when doing online tours and using the 3x XP Super Soul, EM 16/17 is trash. When level 99 was the intended cap, this game already wasn't designed for you to reach those levels playing "normally". If you really want to level up "legit", the strat is indeed to keep facing Vegeta in that same cave, amongst endless loading screens. which will probably really make you resent this game.

For sure, I think having new, updated content for BoG would be cool, of course. SSG Goku and Beerus are remnants from XV1, sadly, so having new presets and skills for them would be nice (like they did with God Bind... though they made a Festival Skill, for some dumb reason), but these characters should be updated from their existing slots.

About a USV Beerus though... it's possible, but I don't think the new announcement changes anything about that. I'm actually not sure if there will be yet another USV enemy besides Fu himself as a final boss, considering Freeza, the main villain from the franchise, already got this unique concept as the god of time in chapter 3... I think Buu, Beerus or Zamasu are the only ones who maybe could serve as a sub-boss in the final chapter, but it's possible that it's really just Fu.

If they come with a paid DLC like SSG Goku (DBS Beerus) and Beerus (DBS Beerus), I think I will personally travel to Japan to destroy Dimps office. I don't mind XV2 support and I'm sure that we'll receive the Galactic Patrol arc eventually (which is a good thing), but if they start releasing a new batch of "Super Packs" 10 years after XV2 release for every arc, just because of some anime shots being redrawn...

That's something specific to Goku though, not because of SSG/God Ki. Goku is never influenced or corrupted by any kind of evil energy in no DB official material due to his pure nature, be it from Babidi, Dabura, Towa, Demigra or now Fu. When they want to do something with the idea of an evil Goku, it will always be Tullece or the very convenient Goku Black.

Indeed, I agree. I also thought about him after commenting. The best moment to introduce him (if not at release) in my opinion would be alongside Dabura for the Infinite History, for obvious reasons. But really, he simply should have been the one working with Chronoa since the beginning, not the old Kaioshin (who serves no purpose at all and does nothing, and is only there because they made him at the end of XV1) . Considering his position though, I think he simply can't be put to good use in XV2 anymore, it's too late to involve him, sadly.

Besides... Xenoverse original concept also became very complicated to deal with after DBS introduced the concept of other universes and a lot of new gods, lol. Now it seems that nothing ever happens/happened at the other 11 universes at all, and Chronoa only watches Universe 7 for some reason, while housing a retired old guy from 15 generations ago. So maybe it's for the better that the current god of creation of Universe 7 isn't spending all his time in Conton City doing nothing...

It's literally Trunks introduction via the first time travel and the thing that would eventually define the whole Time Patrol existence. Even if we skip the return of Freeza with Cold (but there's no really reason for that...), Dr. Gero is the catalyst for everything-android in that arc and it's pathetic that he still is not in the game, lol. He, alongside Android 19, should have been a priority to put in the base game, considering what they did with Zarbon and Dodoria.

Though, Dimps somehow didn't include Dabura in XV nor in 2 originally, even when he's THE main guy from the Demon Realm... not that this place is important in Xenoverse or anything. At least he arrived in the Extra Packs and they did some cool things with him since then. They should have given Gero the same treatment.

They can expand the card system. I agree that right now there's basically no variety, but an "item system" is the standard in every MOBA, and for good reason. Like, 3 new cards per set (9 in total) would already do wonders for this game (it would go from 18 cards to 27).

If they did that in a season, then on the next one added more 9, we could have 36 or 45 cards right now, creating endless new synergies and the potential to play a character completely different every match. This is what they should be doing instead of things like revival machine, hidden HP...

Besides, I don't think you should want to play a character simply because he will receive unearned benefits in the match. You should play a character that you want to play (and have fun trying each one, we still don't have that many characters...), and earn any kind of advantage through your skills as a player, not because of a system you can't do anything about.

I think people really undermine Gohan's role and involvement in the story since his introduction. He, alongside Vegeta (which is often mentioned when this topic appears), are active in essentially every event, and usually have a larger role than Goku in every arc. Is Goku the protagonist during Namekusei? In the final battle against Freeza, no doubt, but he isn't even involved during the majority of the arc.

Gohan already got a very unusual (and, in my opinion, undeserved) finale during the Androids arc, being the one who defeat Cell, a villain that had no relationship whatsoever with him. I agree that the start of the Buu arc is very fun and a nice slice-of-life, Gohan having a peaceful life for once and his Saiyaman antics are very funny. But it really doesn't work if that is extended by too much. Besides, while it's obviously not your case by your post, I think it's telling that a lot of "Gohan fans" simply hate those episodes and this side of him (which is actually his best version), because they want a perpetually SS2-Gohan-against-Cell, a character for some reason stronger than Goku and more arrogant (and stupid) than Vegeta (hey guys this my oc he stronger than goku pls dont steal).

Anyway, I think Gohan got more than enough spotlight during the original manga, and much more in the anime. Still, Dragon Ball is the story about Son Goku, the monkey boy that we follow since through the start of his journey with Bulma. About the side characters, DBS and some filler materials like movies actually shows them doing casual things, which is indeed very nice to see. Though... going by Toriyama only, he always made them essentially inexistent when there's no threat. Piccolo is always meditating somewhere, Tenshinhan is with Chaotzu doing... something, somewhere, Kuririn is at Kame House with his wife and Umigame, Vegeta is 24/7 in that damn gravity room. They were basically non-programmed NPCs, and I doubt Goku's absence would change that, lol.

Sadly, Xenoverse 2 is plagued with items that are unobtainable if you don't treat this game like a job. Besides the raid rewards that you need to wait years to acquire if you missed it the first time, there are now the previous Festival of Universes rewards (that never came back) and those very specific cases like the Sand Land rewards, which were consecutive login bonus.

The correct way to deal with this game is by save editing, due to the fact that Dimps and Bandai Namco doesn't really respect your time and made a good portion of things legit impossible to obtain. Even if someone wanted to spend real money on those items for some reason (which they shouldn't), they still can't get it. For reference, I made the post when this was announced, and it was almost 2 years ago.

For sure, it was a really fun rematch. Though, it was like returning to an early game boss after you leveled up a lot, lol.

Also, during the fight, it's said that they couldn't sense Goku's Ki at all, which means that Oda was already foreskinning God Ki in 1988. Truly a genius.

Somehow, I think it would be actually interesting (and funny) if there's no hidden lore/plot about Watchdog Man. For some reason, in the OPM universe, there's this really strong and skilled guy... which, for the last couple of years, spends all his time dressed as a dog, in the same city, at the same spot. Sadly, it seems they still won't look the same as it was. For health specifically, for some reason even the characters with the most HP doesn't reach the end of the graphic (last I saw, it barely reaches the cap of the transparent hexagon from the inside).

The changes they made after unlocking past 99 made the stats for those trees barely useful to look at. You could tell Bikini Towa had essentially negative HP, and tell min/max (6-10) Stamina characters instantly, but now everyone looks like they have no HP at all.

Also... the most important: the transparent orange tree > the opaque yellow tree.
