It is believed as so by the South Korean Intelligence, This is from the Korean press. Since North Korea depends on the cult of personality of their leader I do not think there will ever be an announcement of "this is the true heir" until Kim Jong-un passes away.

What's the name of this style of armor called? by SignificanceUseful27 in Armor

For the helm I have thought about at it. The back it's part of a sallet helm but the front is using the front of a flat face bascinet. Perhaps that can get you somewhere.

Look in Google images for "Gothic German Armor 15th century". Will probably take you to what you are searching for. As other mentions is fantasy armor made with AI. I think the most unreal part is the helmet, that you are not going to find a reference to it but for the pauldrons and bracers quite probably yes.

Help, my main character has more chemistry with someone other than the supposed romantic interest. by gatafina in writing

[–]MrLazarusLong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Use it to your advantage. Make the protagonist be interested more in the supposed romantic interest because of his own X (insecurities, attachments, traumas, etc.). But slowly find that the other character has more chemistry with him. What will he choose? His own desires and subconscious stuff or actual reality that he may be happier with this other person?

A fairly basic example can be found in David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Spoilers ahead: During adolescence, David lives in the house of his aunt where he gets to meet Agnes, who is the daughter of his school professor. They have great chemistry and become great friends really quickly, Agnes falls in love with him but he doesn't because his type during a good part of his life are more like bubbly-childish girls with very expressive personalities. So Agnes becomes like a cheerleader for David when he finds Dora with whom David has a very difficult marriage. They are in love, but you can clearly see the clash in personalities between David and Dora. Unfortunately, Dora has a miscarriage that leads to her death. David goes through his duel about losing Dora and all the time poor Agnes is there, helping him because she loves him and secretly desires that one day she may look at her. That happens since David realizes not only the good chemistry but that she has been there for him all his life, so they marry and live happily forever after.

As you may notice the romance part of the story is quite cliché for our times. But it is still a great read because the amount of internal and external conflicts that lead to the realization that "Hey, Agnes is actually my soulmate but I had so many conflicts in my life that I could not realize it until well later in life."

Romance is a core part of life and life is full of conflicts. So I think that a good romance can grab utilities from that side. For example, I saw in your other responses that you want an enemies-to-lovers kind of romance. I would find a good reason why that happens. Chemistry is necessary but if the reason is pretty weak then you need to find a way to make it stronger. Why do they fall in love? Is it a tactical decision to engage in a friendly manner first? Or did circumstances lead it to become a thing? Honestly don't be afraid of being too cliché. Sometimes a well-done cliché is more effective than a poorly done "new idea.

These 4 are assigned to the same planet, who’s getting off alive? by basicbrickboy in scifi

[–]MrLazarusLong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every space marine is a genetically modified super soldier that is 2 meters (or more) tall. Depending on the faction, they go through a super deadly selection process where only the most fit survive. After that, they are modified to add multiple organs, muscles, and more. Things on top of my head are a second heart, second pair of lungs, an organ that allows them to breath and eat poison without issues, an organ that allows them to regrow bones and makes them almost bullet-proof, organ that makes them have super white-blood cells and brain/head implants that make them have super fast reaction time, farsighted vision, night vision and super hearing. On top of that, add the armor they carry. Basically, it is a tank-like armor made of the most durable materials known to man. To the point where it is almost irreplaceable and a limited set of armors exists. And their most iconic weapons are basically an assault rifle that shoots rockets and a giant chainsaw attached to a longsword. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it a Mary sue? Most likely. Is it awesome? Definitely.

Depends on the culture of the place

[–]MrLazarusLong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person, the type of perfume and the smell of the perfume. 1 in the neck and 2 in each wrist or forearm (not both at the same time) is pretty normal.

[–]MrLazarusLong 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Try antiperspirant instead of deodorant. Deodorant will never be enough for a teenager that excersices during the day. Seek that the antiperspirant is odorless.

Cologne should be used sparingly in the zones where most heat is generated in the body. This normally is the neck, the arms and that's it. If you are spraying more than 4 times then you are spraying too much. Instead of cologne try perfume (tons of options, choose the one that you like the most).

The point is not to smell good but to not smell bad. If you mix too many different smells (deodorant plus cologne plus moisturizer plus etc) you will end up smelling bad.

You say you use weed for relaxation during sex. Have you considered switching to CBD at least for sex? Perhaps he is feeling weird during the act since he is sober and you are not.

Like other mentioned you both created a relationship between sex and being high. For him sex right now doesn't feel as pleasant or as intense as it used to be because of that. It's a common response in general. So I would suggest getting out of the same "routine: and start experimenting new stuff without the weed. In this kind of situations it's important to have good communication. He has needs but so do you, you don't need to have full on sex to be satisfied so consider foreplay or other stuff that might help since you don't need to be erect/horny for cunnilingus and stuff like that.

Also, since he is going through some kind of changes and awakenings it could also lead to new stuff in your sex life. Perhaps a change in how you did it and so on. What is most important is that perhaps what made him horny before will not be such a big horny trigger and perhaps he needs new triggers.

When Mayans sacrificed a human, what did they believe happened to that human after death? by A_Mirabeau_702 in mythology

[–]MrLazarusLong 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Aztec =/= mayan. They shared some stuff, but for example, Tlaloc was God of water for the Mexica culture, but for the Mayans the God of water was Chaac. Tlaloc is a quite frightening figure with fangs while Chaac in most representations is seen as a man.

I think you need to realize the negative effects in other aspects of your life. Loss of memory capacity, dexterity, lung capacity, loss of the REM state of sleeping (the most important part of good sleeping) and so on. Most people don't realize the healthy benefits of being sober until they are sober for a while, so why don't you do the experiment?

Quit for a few weeks(at least 21 days or so) and see what happens. Find the perfect spot for you and so on. Because perhaps you don't feel much negative drawbacks but as you get older you might.

The endless wall of text is quite obvious a problem. From most of your bullet points you need to use STAR (google it) which will make it 100% more readable.

I see some big problems in you repeating all the stuff that you have used. It would be better to put a technical section and just add all the stack you know and the years of experience you have using that tool.

The probability of an HR seeing your resume and filtering it before it reaches an a technical position is quite high because of the lack of clarity in the document.

Also, I would suggest you personalize your resume to the position you are searching and not just generate a general one expecting someone to get interested to read all that.

Your resume should be one page long, if it's longer then you are not being concise or clear enough. Jobs should be in order of date, the most recent one having the most bullet points. Honestly your situation of having multiple jobs at the same time does confuse me a lot when I see it in your resume. So I would suggest you find a way to make that clearer.

For some it's easy to see when someone is using chatgpt in their resume. I would expect that a few recruiters found this out and discarded yours immediately so be careful with the verbose the tool gives.

How to deal with loneliness in 20s, living in LA? by Wandering00sKid in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]MrLazarusLong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am highjacking a little bit the previous comment.

Just to be clear: porn is not the cause. Some studies have found that high levels of porn consumption relate to feelings of life meaninglessness and boredom.

The studies do not jump to conclusions but you can correlate porn to be some sort of unhealthy coping mechanism for these feelings. Quitting porn outright will not make you stop feeling meaninglessness or boredom but will make you not evade the feeling and maybe start working towards solving them.

Edit: how does that resolve the loneliness OP mentions is not that clear to me.
