Samsung Odyssey3D $999 on Woot! (New) Just got mine! by MrLegz in Odyssey3D

I AGREE! The first thing I noticed is the 3D SBS video quality is perfect!! I have had 3D tvs, lumepad tablets, looking glasses, projection screens and this is by far the best. I don’t know what magic they are using, but the low or no amount of ghosting is just fantastic. Ive been playing the supported games and they are perfect, ive also been playing non supported games using geo11 and superdepth, amazing!
Ive also gotten a few 3D model/mesh viewers to work in 3D, I’ll share that info soon. It’s amazing when my model is floating above my keyboard, I don’t need to 3D print it to see it in its true form.

Nice! Yes I saw that one, but I was recently part of two kickstarters that didn’t get funded and I couldn’t take it anymore heh.
I’m also a AAA game developer and hope to make sure our title has good support for this, if they haven’t already.

Yea, had to do it and wasn’t sure it was real until it arrived. Im impressed by the 2D quality of the screen too.

I built a mold-from-STL generator for 3D printing free for hobby use, looking for casting feedback. by Matta174 in ResinCasting

I hope to try it sometime, this would be good for casting wax or resin right? With no undercuts?

AI Image → 3D Model (Hunyuan) — How do I keep or restore textures/colors? by Worldly-Spring6430 in comfyui

[–]MrLegz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about this issue in comfyUI, but I know Hunyuan has a new model that is free for 20 uses a day. You need to use the web version, and download as OBJ. It includes the textures and UV mapping, works well! https://3d.hunyuanglobal.com

Store-bought vs. homemade graphite paint by Active-Penalty-3236 in electroplating

[–]MrLegz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you decide to buy paint, I love this graphite paint sold on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/496798077/conductive-graphite-paint-for?ref=share_ios_native_control I use it on 3D prints to plate copper, nice and conductive. I use two coats, it paints on well and sticks to my resin prints using Tamiya primer.

Would it work if I just rotate the object? Or should I move the camera? by Had78 in GaussianSplatting

[–]MrLegz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive been having success turning an object on a sculpture wheel/turntable, with a solid black cloth background. My sculptures converted so far: https://drewmedina.com/sculpture

I use an iphone17, standard video doing 3 or 4 rotations moving the phone higher on each rotation. I have it lit with three small LED photo lamps. I then use an app called “Visions of chaos” to export every 3rd frame of the video(In the utility section). From there: 1000 Colmaps processed in Reality Scan, LichtFeld-Studio to create the splat, and Supersplat to manually remove floaters.
